The woman at the TIC is dreadful - totally biased towards Cheltenham which is truly beautiful but downgrading Oxford and Stratford which are definintely worth visiting. This woman does nothing for the Cotswold area pointing out all the negatives - 'totally overpopulated' 'we control tourism here' - sweeping statements and over generalisations .. shame you couldn't have picked someone else to interview but guess it was done randomly.
I would love to see more of the wonderful Cotswolds and nearby countryside, some day. Haven't been to Wotton-Under-Edge yet, but just googled it and it sounds a delight...lucky you.
