they left a little for the imagination, which is why they got all the attention back then from men who wanted to wine and dine them in a proper il pick you up at 7 type manner,, these days the bitches wear nothing most days and wonder why men only want to fuck them?????they say there,s no men left these days?? well then leave a little to the imagination and watch the world change for you bitches!!!
I agree with this entirely. Most of the time the only girls that get real respect from guys are the ones who dress nicely and are more modest and polite. Then the girls who wear nothing and flirt with everyone, and try to act like their tough get taken advantage of. And when guys are alone, they just talk about what a slut the one girl is, and usually speak highly of the other. Only way anyone is gonna respect you is if you have respect for yourself.
@KiErEs87 - The popular illustrators of pin up art are George Petty, Al Buell, Alberto Vargas, Gil Elvgren, and Donald Rust are all online. I'm sure there are reproductions out there. These particular drawings appear to be Art Frahm illustrations. Art liked to put celery in his illustrations...a little idiosyncracy.
@katty2trips Frahm is arguably one of the most iconic...a Frahm like illustration appears in the original title sequence used on the TV series DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES (in the days when most shows HAD title sequences).
I was a child in the 50s and I never once saw a ladies panties fall down -- I think this was a fantasy -- lol! But then, compared to modern fantasy, I think it seems very sweet to draw cartoons of girls all helpless with their wayward panties.
what about that song from billy holiday.... miss u tooo... before my time ... but she sang yesterday ... the song of the century stolen by the beatles!!!!!!!!
Unfortunately, the 1950's was a very 'puritanical' age. Lots of gorgeous women, but you couldn't 'get your hands on them' (unlike today's tarts that drop 'em at the drop of a Hat). Most of them look and act like 'Blokes' these days, and I bet, most of them are too !!!!
Women who whine about "level playing fields" but actually want preferential treatment - who rant it's "sexist" to expect them to have the same output or end product of a male.
This period and the 60's were the last period when women were WOMEN with capital letters
i agree as a woman i think women dont want 2 b women anymore they are not ladylike and dress like men or slappers. I love the 50s and the values they had women should be women. x
woman dont even know what they want. they go on about being treated equally, so when you do and dont distinquish their gender they complain they arent being treat as women. either way your sexist for listening to them or not....
we are two genders for a reason. why dont they realise this? i know its unfair to be sexist to them so i dont support that, but i will always treat them differently to males in most situations. although everyone has their own idea of whats sexist
If sigmazrn is correct, then Art Frahm has a serious knickers fetish problem. I doubt if Doris Day would be happy about her recording being attached to Arts work.
