I agree with Arucardo69. I could play at this level after 6 months learning accordion. He is at a grade 3 or 4 level maybe. He is not a genius, not highly skilled, not king/master...Played on TV shows etc?? Does not surprise me with today's plethora of crappy entertainment. You can put a monkey on TV and be better entertained. A word ... He stinks.

I saw him on the street in Munich last summer, he was totally absorbed in his music. Watching him live I could just tell he's on of the best musicians in the world. He's the one in a million that is a prodigy in his or her chosen instrument.

I think Ivan plays not only the accordeon, he lives his music. And he´s defintely no amateur. He hast been in TV-shows all over the world, he has played concerts in Germany and Europe. He has composed music for an important german mowie and for a m. shown in Cannes, Berlin , Venezia....He is far away from an amateur. And he started when he was five ;-)

Ehrlich gesagt, ich spiele selbst akkordeon, und I. Hajek kann "nur" durchschnittlich gut spielen. Es gibt bei youtube viele, die selbst keine Ahnung haben, wie schwer es ist, etwas zu spielen, und deswegen jedes noch so einfache Gespiele für genial halten. Und diese Übertreibung mit "musical" ist Unfug, es gibt hunderte von wirklich sehr guten akkordionisten, die jeden Cent zu ihrer Familie in der Ukraine, Polen oder Rumänien schicken. Die haben euren Applaus eher verdient.

This guy is one of the most awesome musicians i`ve ever seen! he is amazing. Normally, i listen to Rock or even metal, but this is great!i´ve been on two concerts, and the third is following in 4 weeks, in Nuremberg. His shows are unique. By the way, this is the only way to get his cds if u dont see him playing in the streets before his concerts.

Yeah sure. I've seen your Yugo players play accordion. All they play is Serbian turbofolk sparkled with turkish melos. And while they have good techniques, take some time and notice Ivan Hajek's great skill, talent, passion, and enthusiasm. naja der Ivan Hajek macht halt mal Popmusik aufm Akkordeon, in dem er mal Kadenzen reinbringt und den Beat mit geschlagenen Achteln auf den Grundakkorden reinbringt. Die Melodien sind meist nur die Verbindungstöne von den einzelnen Akkorden. Das ist alles! Nicht weiter schwer aber trotzdem nett anzuhören ab und zu mal

Lovely. Back in 1997, I went to Munich and found him playing in the city center playing wonderful music which made memories of a lifetime for me. I bought one cassette from him at the time and have enjoyed it up to this day. Only wish his albums were for sale outside of Germany. Legendary.
