@HeetWav13 it is not silence...if you listen hard enough you can hear nothing. Which is what maynard intended with this part of the song. It is the sound of your own mind, focus and listen to what your inside is telling you. Silence is only silence, if you allow it to be silent...When you dont focus your energy on exterior sensory perceptions, and learn to focus energy on your inner conscious perceptions. you begin to understand silence a little bit more.

this is probably one of the greatest yet least appreciated tool songs ever. I hear it in my dreams as I sleep at night. I play it on my guitar to strengthen my hands and coordination. It is an amazing riff and took weeks to learn.

@batebordisov Try Mogwai. :P The band is a post-rock type, but it has some heavy guitar into some of the songs, like Christmas Steps... Which is probably my favorite song by them. I'm only saying this because I personally enjoy dazing off to Mogwai, and Tool is my rock-out band. :P Go crazy, type of band.
