Dave, actually if you did some research you'd find the Avalon goes 0 to 60 in just a tic over 7 seconds, and given the fact that I tested the car at a mile above sea level the 7.88 sec time is right on the money.
Now that the real Buick is making sportier cars, someone had to fill the void. Question is what should they be called, TOYUICK, BUIYOTA, or simply grandpa mobile.
