Really? I've been under the impression that quite a bit of people love her. Her blog ranked 1 for being the most read blog in Japan - I don't know if it's still ranking that high. She was also top 5 on a poll for favourite H!P member (past and current) a while back, if I remember correctly. I think someone wrote about it over in H-O. Plus - I've seen nothing but 'Imiss Aibon - Come back!' I don't know about the majority of JP fans but almost all of the foreign fans and some JP fans felt that way

She was a novelty for a while, and the Japanese love novelty. A former child star returned from scandal and announced that she'd attempted suicide -- not only did people feel sorry for her personally, they also hoped for some dirt on the notorious idol industry.

But Aibon seems okay now, and she had no dirt to dish about the industry since her problems mostly involved her family and her own poor judgement, so the general public is quickly losing interest in her.
