I liked this game. But this game REALLY couldve used a dodge button. Especially in the fight with star scream where the bastard moves like the flash.

Other than that a very solid game. They said ps2 couldn't handle far cry but this game has way more polygons and foliage than far cry for original xbox.

Man, I loved this game. Can't believe I sold it off. Normally I would go into a bit of detail about what I loved of this game, but I had a lot to say, so basically, I loved the music, character choice was good, although a bit low, and combat was in-TENSE! I wish there was a sequel specific to this title, with multiplayer. The closest to that would be War for Cybertron, but that is actually more of a prequel. I should get this game again. Pure awesome.

GLITCH: While in the bunker with 15 silver general bots. I was trying to evade and crashed into a wall while transforming and using the rush minicons (R2 & L2). Found myself transported outside with only sky blue around me and one small red dot below me - turned out to be the volcano's lava which only became apparent after 10 minutes of falling. The only reason I didn't restart the console is because

the red dot was getting bigger! I flew around for about half an hour before eventually touching down on the on the island again! Awesome. Because the rushes and gliding/driving tactic is difficult to control you occasionally crash into the walls. This happened one time when when I was at top speed (using Hotshot) Did anyone else find this one?

I am sensing that none of you watched Generation One. Let me throw down some enlightenment for you. 1: The game-play seems like crap. 2: This is based of of Transformers: Armada which doesn't deserve the time that was put into it. 3: Any Transformers product, be it cartoon, film, videogame, or even a play-action toy that does NOT include Steve Cullen does NOT deserve to exist. P.S.: While the BayFormers aren't great, they kick the hell out of Atari's crap.

I loved this game. My only complaint was that it didn't really feel like a transformers game, which could have been remedied by having more reason to use vehicle mode, more autobots (or even deceptiocons) to play as and fighting other transformers more often. It also seemed to be a bit lacking in terms of dialogue. But outside of that, a very good game indeed. I haven't played WFC yet but if it's half as good as this then I won't be disappointed.

@Jumajuice8 you do know this game came out in 2004 right? that means that for that time period, this game here was one of the best out there. considering how even now the visualls are still pretty good (not like WFC or Batman AA granted, but still good) and how its a really big sandbox game that makes players use certain stratigies like using cloaking, collecting more minicons to get speciall abilities, more then just grab a big gun and start shooting, it is one of the better games around.

@thunderman20000 Comparing those two games is a bit questionable, as they're very different from each other. WFC is much more straightforward with mostly linear levels and very little in terms of bot customization (in the singleplayer campaign, that is). But imho it ultimately feels much more like a real Transformers game, because you actually are forced to use your transformation abilities permanently, be it for flying, turning into a smaller target or accessing your heavy weaponry as a tank.

This game was even better than the Transformers series on which it was based. I think WAR FOR CYBERTRON will end up surpassing it, but this was the benchmark of Transformers gaming, right here.

Awesome review my friend! I own this for ps2 & it's my favorate Transformers game! It blows the new ones outta the water, which become repetitive! So don't pay attention to what some of these dicks are saying on this review. This game is incredible and is a must play for any die-hard Transformers fan!

My only bias is that this game is about the Transfomers Unicron trilogy not G1.... I can't wait for the new game: War for Cybertron, which is about G1 transformers

I found some sure-fire ways to glide onto Tidal Wave.

1. Find a very high mountain peak close to him. This will increase the chance of you getting onto Tidal Wave.

2. Once you start gliding and get in the general direction of Tidal Wave, don't alter course or else, you'll fall into the water, causing you to go into Stasis Lock.

3. Once you get onto Tidal Wave with the above steps, fire your lasers for all their worth because enemies will be sure to kill you once you've landed on Tidal Wave.
