  • i love such puristic cars.... not the current junk full of electric gadgets weighing hundreds of pounds extra....

i wanna drive a car and not live in it !

  • And a 5.0 sounds crap to the symphony of 'busa. West coast great white north repesent! Bitches!

  • That looked an awfull lot like chemainus. Wunder if youll use the new '12 kawi big bore motor. It sounds amazing and maybe able to use the factory abs somehow, rear wheels only maybe... I dunno. Stoned.

  • locost 5.0 sounds better

  • Check out our web site under galleries

3:14 rear diff. Max rpm 10,900 Max road speed 148mph

  • Hi there ive got a quick question to anyone regarding a Busa engined 7 Replica. I'm guessing they are use the Busa engine and gear box straight out of the bike, But what running gear do you use from the gearbox output to the rear wheels?

    Cheers

  • we know how to get a engine like this and the caterham part but what about the gearbox this looked like a bumpshift

  • What type of gearbox is? in it?

  • Dreamcar right there.

  • WOW.

  • Straight line acceleration, just what a 7 does best.

  • great graphics this game looks soooo real.

oh wait it is real silly me.

  • And.... apparently, we can´t all have a brain.

  • This car is gonna be on my list of cars I want to build/rebuild Thank god Catraham still makes the kits.

  • Me like.

  • I just creamed in my panties! Wow can I buy

  • I find this easy to masturbate to...

  • there was a guy at my race driving course who took unnecessary chances. the instructor said quietly "high performance car... low performance driver."

  • Thank You!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was fucking epic, the way there supposed to be driven. Usually the people who buy performance cars are middle aged pussys and they drive accordingly... My dad is one of them, wish these cars had owners who appreciated these things. Keep having fun here and there in your'e 7 pal. Enjoy! OR DIE TRYING

  • hmm i have the feeling that the hayabusa engine can be used for many things huh :D

  • 1st off: learn how to downshift with a sequential... you do not heel toe.

2nd off: We all do stupid shit like this but putting it on youtube is really stupid. Imagine you die in a crash and your insurance company finds this video, denying your family your life insurance.

    Think about it.

  • @ffrgtm How do you downshift with a sequential then?

Dump the clutch on a downshift in a bike engined car without blipping the throttle and you will break something...

  • @MWeirsa In a sequential you just need to "unload" the tooth faces. Technique depends on if you left foot brake or not but you need to either blip the throttle or dip the clutch, not do both. Hewland (they make sequentials for f1 cars to formula fords) has a long article written up on the subject.

I guess saying "do not heel toe" was a bit wrong, I meant you do not heel toe in the conventional way with both a clutch dip aaand the throttle blip. You can hear both being done here. :)

  • @paullubliner Are you being serious or are you just slow in the head? Oh wait.... read the last sentence. Slow in the head it is.

  • @paullubliner Step one) do a quick google search for "video forensics services".

Step two) Realize how fucking idiotic you are.

"Integrity of the evidence can be a key factor in many cases. Blackstone can determine whether or not a video, image, or audio file is an original or has been tampered with, edited, altered, or deleted."

Show this video in court, have an expert testify that it hasn't been altered. A judge/jury doesn't need to know the actual speed to realize this is incredibly wreckless

  • @paullubliner 1st off... this isn't a contest. The fact that you think it is, and continue to cite my age as a primary factor in this sad one sided battle of the minds seems to imply you troll youtube for in some pathetic attempt to feel better about yourself... I got my scca license at laguna seca in formula cars, so I'm well aware of the perspective difference. I don't understand what it is you're trying to defend or prove.... I'm not entirely sure you do either. That's all.. fucking pathetic

  • @paullubliner hahahahahhahaha finally took a peek at your channel... a 57 year old with videos about train museums who trolls on youtube? I honestly feel bad now.... but look... if a judge sees this video in addition to a vaporized car with 100 meters of skidmarks he isn't going to worry about the fucking focal length of the lens... it's going to be pretty damn obvious what happened. THAT is what I'm saying. Anyways... this has been fairly comical but I'll leave you to your trains now.

  • i think the caterhams are ugly as sin but thats no the point, its a pure driving car

  • @payne51558 so your saying that it is ok for motorcyclist to be doing wheelys down the highway and knee draging around corners but he isnt aloud to drive fast with his car

  • @TheSpeakers20 Saying neither is OK..plain and simple..find a track..hella more fun there anyway.

  • At this point in time My two favorite cars are a caterham and an evo8. Sadly for me I live in the USA and caterhams are near impossible to get here.

  • Oh man, I would love to have a Caterham once I get out of college and have the money. A CSR, all black with the Cosworth is what I wish to have someday.

  • this is how it should be driven, very tidy driving :-)

  • Too much hypocrisy from @conwah3697.

There's always that type of people who can't stop from giving advice even they don't follow.

    Cool car, nice driving! Congrats!

  • finally someone who has the balls to open up his car , like a bat out of hell !!

i love the hitech inline 4 sound...

thanks again for the video man !!! really appreciate it ,,but like always ,,always seems to short

  • @aliveandfilming2

look at the superspeeders videos, they drive cars like they're meant to be driven too

  • dAmmmN gRaNd Pa'!

  • HOLY SHIT

  • Was that Squamish?

  • For all you idiots - this clearly is a vehicle driven by an expert - he knows what he is doing. In-car video gives no indication of what the drive was like

  • nice love it

  • Are you using heel&toe? Or it's some automatic system that does it for you?

  • @djgabyy

It's the gearbox of a motorcycle...

  • Great vid. Your next one will be "Test shooting my Glock in the kindergarten" yes?

  • I'd last about 2minutes in that before I got a ticket.

  • 良い吸気音だ~。

    次は、足回りだな。

  • cracking motor mate green with envy

  • Turbocharge that motherfucker!

  • 1:20 Such a nice sound

  • Yes, that's David's car. Similiar to mine, except mine is a 1400. We are nearing completion of development of our Rotrex Supercharger kit at this moment. Hope to see about 375-400 hp in the final 1400 version.

  • Plus a normal GSX1300R will get you 50,000 miles on the street. All thats missing is a turbo spooling up.

  • cars are so damn quick cause they redline at like 12 grand.. same concept as like the lotus elise i think it redline's at like 10 or 11

  • is this legal???

  • Crazy mofo!

  • sweeeet

  • love that... nice work!

  • Brilliant.

  • good sound!!!

  • On a public street! What a stupid fool!

  • notice the rev spike whenever there are negative g's (i.e. no downforce) and the wheels loose traction

  • THE SHAG MOBILE.... LOL scooby style, hahaha gsxr engines all the way!!!!

  • pure adrenalin...

  • sounnds well nice when you downgear it

  • This is awesome in its most epic form !

  • this is my dream track car

  • holy piss

  • Five stars!

  • Now that looks like fun!

  • Unbelievable!

  • why distroy a nice car

    good driving mate

  • proper use of the lords roads

  • Good way to enjoy a car.

  • Oh man, that is wonderful...!

  • Has Caterbus the clutch pedal?

  • What's the steer ratio?

  • Fking awsome

  • i want that car

  • tosser

  • your ugly mate ...

  • Caterham over a Suzuki Hayabusa anytime...

damn im in love as well.....

  • would this beat a 180hp lotus twin cam caterham?

  • maybe yes cause hayabusa engine is much lighter than any other car engine.

  • i agree, (im not trying to argue i just want a chat) lol. but with a racing chassis which is lighter and various other lightweight components would this be a close match?

  • my boss has 1 and he sent me to the pump 2 get some fule for it man it was so nice it is just like yours but it is turbo 486 bhp. but yer like your vid pall nice.

  • turbo caterham?

  • So sweet,l think l have fallen in love.

  • imadrunkenfooL11. Your name is perfect. Don't change a thing, friend.

  • haha, after watching this video 10 times I find myself wishing my Vet sounded like this . maybe I drank to much

  • no you didn't drink to much... everyone likes the sound of a properly built engine over an american slab of metal lol

  • the Busa motor just screams performance. its like mechanical music to your ear. this car is already nice but what if it were to have a turbo installed on that Busa engine? hmmmm

  • that would be very interesting.. although I don't know how much it could do for you seeing as the cylinders are limited and very small

  • it has reverse?

    how they did?

  • 1:23 hahaha great

  • what transmission is it?

    it has clutch'?

  • Its the bikes standard box.

  • these cars are unreal. I was at their official speed trials about 6 years ago at the airport in Nanaimo.

    0-100mph-0 in under 10 seconds.

0-60mph in 3.6 (3.2 with drag slicks on)

very nearly broke the world record for top speed in reverse. you haven't seen anything till you've seen one of these going over 140mph backwards down a runway!

    first class company and people

  • AT 1:23 I WAS LIKE, WTF!

  • gotta love this @ 1:23

  • Do they make extra modifications to engine and transmission for dealing with the extra weight? A Caterham is a light car but still a lot heavier then the hayabusa.

  • Turbo it.

    or put a

Civic Type R engine witch is K20A.

along with K20, some Hondata, Header, Headerback exhaust and some others bolt-on parts will get you around 250WHP with K20 Naturally asprid.

  • Defeats the point of the car. The bike engine is very compact and very light.

  • WOW!!!

  • WOW! That's a mean car! Love the wheel spin.

  • sweet vid man. u know how to get down on ur shit

  • fuckin sweet, I want one.

  • what kinda transmission are u running?

  • probably a 6 speed sequential :/

  • I love this car!!!

  • the meaning of life and what a sound. Shame you never punted her broadside. The sevens are outrageous at and beyond the limit. nice try though ;)

  • lol 61k? try under 30k$ lol funny

  • actualy caterham with a brand new hayabusa engine and transmision is 40K € factory built... and thats without extras ... so yea its pretty much close to the 60k$ mark :)

  • Hey Canam1945 your car is what every guy wants but missus won't let you get without the annual trip to the in-laws.Does your wife have a sister with a trust fund(just kidding if mine saw what i just wrote i'd get a free sex change).

  • can you get these in the US?

  • well i dont think you could get one stock with a hayabusa engine, but one that goes 0-60 in like 2.8 seconds goes for about $61,000. though the catch is that you have to build it from a kit

  • Never even plugged sixth.

I love the wheel spin over the crest.

    I think I want one.

Have you seen the new Hartley engine case for the Busa top end.

    Do you need any employees?

I used to work on SaltSpring, I'm an Engineer.

  • Thank you for your input and I AGREE with you. However, I have lived here for 30 years and know the roads very well. You will notice on the Video clip, that I slow down completely in the built up area and also do not accelerate up the hill UNTIL I have full vision of the road ahead. Have a Happy and SAFE Christmas in Spain - lucky devil - we have 3 feet of snow here........!!

  • @canam1945 some ppl just would argue even after that, sometimes i do the same thing, and my brother still argues with me,,,

  • @conwah3697 lol they should feel privaledges to be hit by that car, i would

  • @conwah3697 lol they should feel privaledged to be hit by that car, i would

  • hey Pry01. yes i know there fast.

but this douce still drives like a fag.

you both can suck my balls

  • Caterhams gotta be about the coolest cars!!

    what a great fun car

    great noise too

  • lol yeah right. you have no idea how fast these things are

  • Very nice I've got a Westfield with a 200bhp Dunnell engine its goes great but that busa sounds awsome. Good driving by the way!

  • MOTORCYCLE ENGINE?!?!?!? wtf............ dont they put hyabusa engines in smart cars?

  • Thank you for your comments. However, you will notice that I slowed to below the speed limit in the residential built up area and knowing the area very well, I knew were school children, driveways and other possible dangerous entrances onto the road are. I am also a current CASC Senior Race and past FIA International license holder, am 64yrs old, have not had a road accident since I was 17, have a clean driving record and am the builder and designer of the Caterham "Hayabusa".

  • You past record doesn't permit you to drive like a dick, whever you have never had a crash or not, there is always room for error. I just hope its only you that gets hurt and not some innocent bystander

  • He wasn't driving like a dick he was exceeding the speed limit, but only in areas vacant of danger.

  • i hope he runs your sad ass over

  • I hope he kills one of your family whilst out on a joy ride

  • @canam1945 are you 64?! looks like a kid! I note your age for when you live life to the fullest and now also, health and longevity!

  • @canam1945 LISTEN MAN, I AM IN ABSOLUTE AW OVER THAT CAR AND HOW YOU STILL HAVE THE BALLS TO GIVE IT SOME WORK FOR ITS MONEY! STRAIGHT UP ROLE MODEL FOR ME!

  • Love the car, love the engine...the driver needs to be SHOT! To drive like that through residential neighborhoods is *INSANITY*, incarnate.

I'm an old SCCA'r and love going as fast as the next guy, but you sir, are a clear and present danger, who should not be allowed to own, much less drive, that capable a car.

  • Thats a seriosely quick motor. My audi is getting sold, i gotta get me 1 of those, probs get a 2.0.16v but i would prefer the hayabusa engine

  • Bunch of straight line driving. What about cornering, eh?

  • OH MY GOD!!!! I found at the moment my another dream or what...I'm a very big GSX-R fan and also powerful cars fan. BUT THISONE IS BOTH OF THEM...i heard bike engines in car formation before like the Smart with GIX 1000 engine and go-karts with bike engine...but this one is the best...but i think os...really expensive...(might be ever i will build at home the machine same like this...it's incredible...:D )

  • No, it's not a "tiptronic" transmission. It's a sequential manual gearbox, or "SMG". It's a true mechanical unit unlike what most modern cars have, which basically just have automatic transmissions that allow you to manually select a gear.

Prices on these cars vary by options such as motors, suspension, trans and body style...... The car in this video is expensive, but cheap if you compare it to cars that it compares to in performance.

  • what kind of gear box, tiptronic?

  • do all super seven have motorcycle engines i though they had 4cyl in them.

how much would one cost to build

  • You can get sevens as cheap as just several thousand pounds with what probably will be a 1.4 straight 4 (with about 80-105 bhp) to ones costing you 30000+ GBP with either 265 hp 2 litre straight 4's or stuff like westfield's megablade and megabusa, with the fireblade or hayabusa bike engine.

or you could opt to knock an engine in yourself. they even accomodate v8's, so yeah.

  • love the sound @ 1:18 =D

  • what the hell....amazing sound :D

can you write some performance dates down?

hp acceleration ect.would be interesting :)

    thanks

  • That was a fun ride. Thanks for the video...

  • how much are they

  • Our base "Hayabusa" car is $64,900 and we are on Vancouver Island BC(250)246-3632

  • where can you get those

  • a dax hayabusa turbo! nice :o) very nice in fact!! so you must have somewhere like 230 bhp plus depending on boost? I'm jealous!

  • yes thats what kit cars tend to do to people make you want more power i have a dax hayabusa turbo

but for all out power duratecs would be a good choice for any person

  • Not a bad display, i'm guessing you were holding back due to being in a built up area etc, it would be great to see you really giving it hell for leather as it looks a bit tame in this vid, I know what the hayabusa does so was expecting great things! I'm debating whether to go with a hayabusa engine or possibly a ford duratec? I feel the reliability would be better with the car engine but lacking in power to weight somewhat?!

  • i think duratecs are defiantely the way forward with car engined kit cars they are extremely light but about 7-8000 just for the engine

something like the hayabusa is alot different and has a lot better sound and high revs

but fireblades and R1S dont have enoungh low down torque

  • Cheers for your words of wisdom :o) I recently hired a caterham SV which was great to get a taste of kit cars but now i've tasted I want MORE!!!! An SV just isn't enough for my lead weighted right foot! So maybe it's a duratec or possibly a tuned red top engine (in the region of 200+bhp) that sounds a tad more interesting ;o)

  • MUST HAVE !!!!!

  • You really need to work on your downshifting, but great video

  • HaHa my citroen berlingo mong mover is boss! I have a 1.9 diesel and a loading ramp at the back I reckon with a steering wheel power peg fitted it will easily smoke this caterham thingy ha ha

  • how do you deal with not having reverse? Love the car btw, that sound is orgasmic :D

  • Actually, we do have a reversing gearbox that gives us 6 speeds in reverse! In 2005 at a local airport I set an unofficial World Record of over 103mph in reverse!

Yes, there is nothing like 10,900rpm........!!

  • LOL if your serious that is hillarious! Imagine doing that down the highway :D How many lateral G's can that thing handle?

  • Nice car, but I don't know why you're driving like that through a residential community.

  • cool

  • With a sequential gearbox, do you have a clutch pedal or anything? Or do you just have to pull/push the leaver to change gear?
