Our 1998 storm in Maine left up to three inches of ice on all surfaces. Even now if you look at the forests you can see hardwoods with multiple tops. The original tops were torn off. In this way you can plainly see what growth there has been since that winter.
i grew up in rogers and my mother still lives in bentonville. i was going to the u of a when a similar ice storm hit back in the late 1970's. mother nature can really be slick sometimes....and destructive!

Our ice storm down here in IL was WAAAY worse.
We got tons of ice AND snow all mixed together. It was baaaaaaaaaaad.
