I know that I may be extrapolating this, but no one is listening to what Mr. David Goldman is saying and the ramifications of the fake parents actions! Elian Gonzales was a baby when he got to the US and when they sent him back, Sean was a baby when he went to Rio and now he´s a 9 year old pre teen.
