I just flew a 1966 172G and we tried to do a power on stall with ~10 degrees of bank to the right, and the plane made a full 360 with full back elevator before it would stall, haha
@cosminx2003 You would have to pitch the nose down, and if theres enough runway, try to land again. If not, you're screwed. Probably you wouldn't die, seeing as how the trees will act like a hammock to the aircraft, but if not, you're doing some damage.
I would point the nose at the ground (to avoid a stall) and attempt to land in such a way to protect the fuselage (let the wings be destroyed if necessary).
you look quite smooth and confident in the plane - i presume you did well later in the training - i have just got my ppl in australia with CSU and retract endorsment - making my first private flight into the nation's capital in 2 days!
Not quite, perhaps in the next couple months. This was just practicing prior to a phase check which is something my flight club requires periodically as you move through training.
Brilliant video, good manoeuvres! I'm watching this over and over, am in the middle of PPL training and right on steep turns, stalls, etc. This comes in handy!
This is a great video... very informative. I have saved it to favourites to show what some of my 172 training is like:)

Nice work! I notice you are doing your work out of KSQL. Is that your home airport? I fly out of KLVK.
SuperdicaFlyer 3 years ago
Yes, KSQL is my "home" airport. I just flew my first corss-country solo but couldn't record casue the camera broke =-( LVK, is that Livermore?
Markusman1 3 years ago
Excellent, it seems that you are nearing your license. I myself am nearing my first solo at LVK, which is Livermore Airport. Nice airport, nice area.
SuperdicaFlyer 3 years ago
Good luck with your upcoming solo, it's something you will never forget!
