Fireflies, bats, heat lightning, frogs chirping in the background and the smell of just mowed lawns and you have the perfect night for me. Thanks for posting, here we have fewer fireflies every year and fewer months when they come out. It's sad since I remember the night air filled with them. Thanks, Patti

We've actually had a bumber crop of lightning bugs in the past years. Seems like they wax and wane every decade or so. I remember lots as a kid, few as a teen, and now lots again in my 30's

The bats did swoop me, notice how jiggly the camera got? Yeah, I scampered away it a panic. I felt air from bat wings and it did kinda freak me out a bit. I don't mind watching them. From a bit of a distance :)
They are cool to watch. They are little acrobats. AcroBATS LOL!!!
I wish I had a better camera so you could see them better, but, if we had everything we wished for wishes wouldn't exist anymore!
Snakes, I can handle. Don't snakes EAT bats? Yes, put some snakes on your channel. Well, I'm off to find a towel to protect me from the bats....AHHHHHHHHHHHHH! (Runs as fast as she can away from the bats.)
I'm from Illinois. I remember the fireflies and when I moved out here to Los Angeles, :( no fireflies and I was so sad about that. We do have bats though out here. They make cool noises when they are flying around. I'm not scared of Bats only the people here in LA. :)
Our bats kinda squeak like mice, but higher pitched. They are really cute.
I don't like it when they swoop too close to my head. Notice when the camera jiggled I did run a coupld of steps. I got spooked, I could FEEL them fly by!
They are very beneficial, and a LOT of fun to watch!!!
I don't live far out of Philadelphia. Lots of scary people there. LOL. I don't like cities too much. Cities scare me!

Lightning bugs are awesome. Hearing them called fireflies seems so... Disneyish...
In the Labyrinth they would be fairies, and they BITE ;)

Yeah, I don't have expensive cameras and the only video producing program I have is movie maker!
It was hard to film when it was practically dark outside. But, I like bats and lightning bugs, so I wanted to share :)
