  • better quality on my channel.

  • Why dies this guy even have a gun?

  • I was wondering a few things,

Are any of the actors SCAD students? I've read in pamphlets for SCAD that for a lot of the movies made, they go cross-major and ask like... make-up artists to help with the student videos.

And how much money do you typically have to pay for these things? I mean, you have to hire atleast some of the actors. Just curious. I'm really interested in the school, so these videos are pretty fascinating to me. lol.

  • I have the original HD version on my channel!!!

  • wow look at his face when the woman like dies lol

  • This video is sweet :D

  • Noo the donuts had to get the boot?

  • Booooom! *stares*

  • it kind of reminds me of the first clercks the way its made

  • @finalfantasty84 i think it was a few carefully edited together.

  • That's my window!

  • AWW cmon

    lol

    2:20

  • love the scream, my baby!

  • he got his car stolen XD

  • Jeez, I didn't see that coming :))

  • ahhhaha " Rodney, stay safe,-- My names peter"

  • It's such a fantastic video because it's seamless.

  • Nice editing.

  • Great job guys!

  • ★★★★★

  • " AHH! MY BABY!!!" xD

  • At exactly minute 2:02 you see how the camer drops down for a moment there are no cuts at all and I can tell because I am a professional editor. Well I can be wrong to but for me this is hand work. This was made changing the camera from hand to hand. Of course lot's of training and rehearsal. There you can see the effort

  • A professional editor who can't spell camera, I doubt it.

  • hahahahahahaha youre right hahahah

  • Love the scene at 2:22 and 2:57

  • Forgive me for stating the obvious, but It is one continuous shot. So, when he approaches the counter, it's too large to walk around, so did the camera change hands when it panned from the employee to the "gumshoe", then change back when he was getting ready to leave? If so, the initial operator kept it an awkward angle just before he left because it started from behind the employee when the "gumshoe" left. That was very well done.

  • hint 1 you have assistance to move things around. hint 2 when rolling fast, it is a good chance to cut. sorry, just some guesses.

  • Moving the counter that probably has wheels is much more likely. I didn't think of that. You're probably right on both, but you have to admit, that was a good piece of short film.

  • ofc. funny, witty, well shot. i love scadshorts. it's just there are some techniques that are obvious for those who know the tricks of the trade. ever wondered how the camera moves so smooth? :)

  • Do you think there could be several layers?

like at 0:41 the camera would have had to go through the "gumshoe"'s shoulder. Obviously they use some blue screen at the end, so why not here also to create a really dynamic shot?

  • how the camera moves over his shoulder: the camera has a longer focal distance than the eye. so objects appear closer that they really are. i dont see them using bluescreen.

  • Wheere do you see a blue screen? You don't need a blue screen at all for the end. For the counter maybe but then I think we might have noticed the cuts.

  • Absolutely amazing direction, timing, planning, and holy handheld camerawork. Give that man/woman an oscar!...Holy crap, what is that like to be the main character, turn around and See that the outside action is working so this is gonna be the final cut...YES!! bravo..

  • they certainly used a glidecam

  • HOL..Y....SHIT

  • DUDE! All in one take, that's brilliant. xD I loved it.

"Ahh! My baby!" and then his expression. I loved it.

  • this looks like south gate shopping center in rogers arkansas... where is this location??

  • no, i think this is the farmer's dell plaza in brantford, ontario.

then again, you could be right.

  • I thought it was in the Savannah historical district, because this is SCAD, after all, right? :p

  • how could he reload like that he just threw the bullets inn the gun hahahahahhaa

  • It's not one take. The camera cuts to behind the counter when the PI enters.

  • The camera turns around...it doesn't cut.

  • definetely a cut, just pause it a couple of times and you can see the push transition...mr. cinemastah...

  • ms. cinemastah.

  • it does'nt cut...

  • i love his face at the end. its just, ' oh. shit. '

  • Lol. Love the ending!

  • O.o

    This channel is crazy. XD

  • "i like ur costume"

    this made me lol

  • I like how it's all one take.

  • "AH, my baby!!" lol

  • HAHAHA "idk...donuts and stuff"

  • BACK UP, CALL FOR BACKUP!

  • I think he shot a gas station accidently, because I doubt a car could do such an explosion alone.

  • ...I don't think that's the point.

  • Its a pun... Someone said something about a game on comment before mine, so I was making another joke based on that :].

  • When ur stealing a car, normally you drive faster than 5km per hour. =.=

  • Gonna say the same thing, it's all one long peace of film!

  • amazingly done, and it looks like it was shot by a human carrying the camera, if so thats impressive.

  • lol beginning is so funny. rofl

  • Absolutely fantastic.

Lovely Stuff. Not my words, the words of Shaky Stevens

  • what... did someone say"GTA MOVIE COMIN UP"

  • NIGGA STOLE MAH RIDE !!!

  • GTA

  • Ahaha!! xD He's like "oooh shh...."

  • they must have practiced like crazy to get it in one shot haha... and used a lot of donuts lol... jk

  • That was hilarious. Those kids that took his car learned THEIR lesson, aye? Ha ha.

  • wow that was really fucked up

  • ahah one shot, good shot ! ;)

  • you really believe that was a MEANINGFUL comment?

  • your an idiot gomen42. Technically even IF they ate the donuts and drank the coffee, the people in Africa would still be starving.

  • well even if you didnt eat it i REALLY dont think that foods gonna somehow get to fucking africa...

  • it´s incredible how it is made in only one shot. very well done.

  • definitely one of your best

  • Bravo! Bravo!

  • @msangapu hey - I uploaded the HQ original! check my channel!

  • haha

  • Haha that was amazing! Very expensive if you didn't get the shot (the window not the explosion). Very nice camera work.

  • This is so great. I hope to see more of that. The characters and dialoge is great. How you move to the back of the counter in one shot. It's great.

  • di a logue, also, di a log (v.i.)

  • Wicked short - I read somewhere you did this in 3 takes. Is there a thread on a forum somewhere that you talk about the making of?

    Thanks

  • that was amazing!

  • That was so great. I love your videos. Very Very professional.

  • fantastic.. truly fantastic.. not only was it technically well done with one shot but it felt real, the acting was spot on, subtly comedy.. the story was tight.. the timing was almost perfect.. I felt the first run in from the faces was too long but apart from that GREAT STUFF!! I'd love to see it done again with a little more budget for the effects. but really... thank you

  • HA! fuck that was awesome!

  • haha

  • no steadicam. this was handheld

  • leafblower

  • I love that you can just hear the woman screaming........ "AHHHH, MY BABYYYYYY!"

  • is it really just one camera shot? i wonder how the camera got behind the shop counter and back again. was there another cameraman/woman behind it ? its simply great i looove this short

  • yep, two camera operators passed it back-and-forth over the counter

  • at first, I thought he missed the car, and blew up a gas station nearby...

that would of been more realistic, and real funny

    nonetheless, another remarkable short

  • Should have had him pull out a remote control that detonated his own car.

That would have been the cherry on top.

  • lol funny.

  • hahahaha That would so happen in Saavannah too!

  • lol very nice all throughout ;d

  • stock hvx?

  • hvx, yes. what do you mean by "stock"? the lens? a lot of the look of it is from color correction
