I knew two seconds into this that I was going to bawl. You did such a good job! I wish I had the stuff to make videos like this. Beth was my hero growing up and I got to play her in the theater when I was eighteen. It was one of my favorite roles. Good job making this. Now I'm going to cry . . .
I'm currently playing "Marmee" in this musical... we had our opening last night, but I happened to find this video this morning. May I just say this is so incredibly beautiful and it also successfully made me cry. Little Women's portrayals of truth, love and loss are what make the story so timeless (and such a tear-jerker for many of us). What an incredible story and this video captures so much of it! Thank you for posting this.
Well this song is actually from the musical version of Little Women. It's sung by Maureen McGovern (sorry-not sure exactly howto spell it..) called Days of Plenty. She plays Marmee in the musical and this is her singing to Jo after Beth dies.
I'm officially new here, but I wanted to say how much I loved this video. It was very touching, and I personally feel that it caught the friendship between Beth and Jo perfectly. And, um, yes. It made me cry. :-)
This was lovely!
