I've not fully played all of Kh2 on my own yet, I've mainly just watched a sibling play it and watched videos, but...is it me, or does it seem that everytime you fight Axel or with Axel, he's drained? Granted, the first two fights are at the beginning of the game, so things are going to be kinda easy (hurt like hell to beat my guy up like that though!) but with Sora...he comes into the fight tired. Why was that?
