I think that in a male-dominated field however, such as music, it's kind of an anomaly to have such a strong female lead vocalist such as haley williams or cassadee pope, and I think that's why singers of that sort so often get grouped together. I just discovered hey monday and they're pretty good, there's definitely some paramore-esque stuff going on in there, but there's also a very original feel that I quite appreciated from them. definitely going to go pick up their album :D
