Im not here to start any wars or anything, but I think theres something that Anette brings to the band that Tarja didnt quite grasp. I just like her energy and how shes not afraid to be different. When I went to see them in the states (Los Angeles) the audience was almost entirely World of Warcraft dorks. I'm not complaining, they were hilarious and interesting.
I'm sorry but Anette looks horrible in these clothes. I know that maybe she doesn't like black hair or something like that but she should improve her image on stage. This supose to be show, like in theatre, and she is dressed like for dinner with friends.

Well, that's not all her songs. She made the Dark Passion Play album, she does the songs as she can, she doesn't sing like Tarja did. The voice of Tarja was more powerful and she can go higher. Anette have to deal with that, she doesn't have the same register.

Belting is a singing technique that requires a lot more power than classical singing, and Anette has it. And Tarja is by far not even the most powerful classical soprano around. (Don't get me wrong though, I do like her.)
No, no, I didn't say it to get into a fight, really. I'm a Tarja fan, but I am a Nightwish fan as well. I find the twists original, because they make you feel different, not as if you were just listening to the cd again. Even Tuomas, Emmpu or Marco make those twists in the tunes precisely to come up with changes to refresh the sound. Whether Tarja or Annette, it's way too hard to perform live exactly as if you were singing in the studio. Peace man =) Let's enjoy.

I love this song, it's so heavy. It reminds me of Black Album-era Metallica, and has an interlude (2:51-3:35) that's sounds like something out of Deep Purple.

I love this song, it's so heavy. It reminds me of Black Album-era Metallica, and has an interlude (2:51-3:35) that's sounds like something out of Deep Purple.

the guitar lines in this song are extraordinary good... I'm mean they are always great if emppu and tuomas write them... but here it's just mindblowing especially the intro and the verse

i wonder if they're gonna record new material this year, someone has some good info? i heard something about 2011 but that's freakin a lot of time to wait, i hope they can come out with new stuff next year, i can't wait to see how he will surprise us this time (i'm talkin about tuomas of course)

yah dude I know 2011 is a long way off but 2009 is flying by. I doubt anything will be done soon as they are now starting the second half of a 2 year tour so I think 2011 might be the real date :(

Not opera, Tarja was a classical singer, and if you look at the DVD and of an era, she's made many wrong notes...but I prefer her look on stage than annette...^^ well you're rignt they're very different ^^ (bad english, I'm french)
