@alexproboi I use a iphone 4 with my more recent videos and they actually sound way better then this. When I record i don't play the song in the background so my phone only picks up my guitar. I then add in the song afterwards with a video editing program and level it out properly. The size and amount of furniture in my room also help sound proof it which is pretty important. Finally I have pretty good guitar tone which is obviously very important.

I simply just love how lamb of god use the drop-D tuning! That way it's easy to play without using a fucking hour to tune all your strings down 2 or 3 steps or whatever + it sounds so bad ass! :D

@SoadAddict91, just up pick for a little while then do some slow songs with alternate picking. when i first started i only used up picking because i was a dumb ass. After a while of you get used to it then you can speed it up slowly. Sorry I can't give much better advice.

Hey, I've playing for just under a year now but I have problems keeping the right tempo on this song with alternate picking. When I first started learning how to play guitar, I downpicked mostly and never learned how to alternate pick effectively, which is really bad because I now have an extremely fast downpick but can't alternate pick worth shit. @pur3Seigmen In case you didn't figure it out yet you can type drop D in the search bar and im sure somthing will come up both here and google. For a quick tip standard tuning is (low) E6-A5-D4-G3-B2-E1 (high) with drop D you take the thickest string (E) and tune it low to D the rest stay the same.
