yeah i was at the game as well and still have no clue why he got a red card. he barely touched the guy jostling for position. idc how skilled of a player he may or may not be on the ball, but that display of Ekpoo's (lol) acting skills was horrendous. I've honestly never seen anything that ridiculous/blatant in a professional soccer game and hope to never again. We really should have won this game. Oh well. Flying down to LA next weekend for the match against Chivas. IM SOUNDERS TIL I DIE!

I went to the game, and I can tell you one thing---I did not pay 45 dollars to watch that POS crawl around, or to see the god**** refs throw away another sounders win. This game was about even, both teams back and forth.

I believe Seatlle would've won if they had gotten Ljunberg more touches, it seemed every time he got his feet on the ball, he was eloectric. Jaqua was also a key part-once they took him out their offense was stagnant.

And Montero is really pressing. Someone has to tell him that he doesn't need to put all the pressure on himself.

And Steve Zaquani is beastly.

I said I didn't know about that specific game. I know what Concacaf gold cup is. That is one of the crappiest international tournaments, and that's a fact, I've seen it. Mexico and USA jerk off in that cup. Just like u just did with ur "logic".

However, I would consider world class. To me, Howard is one of top 25 goalies playing at the moment. He achieved 16 shutouts this season and has set a club record for everton for most shutouts by a goalkeeper. Thats pretty impressive for a team that doesnt play for champions league.

Good comment sam, Ngooo, Tim Howard and Kasey Keller are a decade apart in careers yes they played in games at the same time but it was Keller opening the door for US players to be considered that has allowed Howard and others to make other steps forward. Howard is better than Keller now yes but Keller is past prime and Howard is right in the middle of it. Howard may eclipse Keller as the best US keeper ever soon but I don't think he has done it yet.

My point was that CONCACAF is not a very competitive zone AT ALL. Compared to Europe and South America is a joke. It's slightly less competitive than Africa, and slightly more competitive than Asia (arguably either way. It can vary). And don't argue by saying that Costa Rica once did a great game or some bs like that. Mexico and USA, by far best CONCACAF teams. They're world class teams, but not TOP teams. Hardly they reach WC 1/4 finals.

Can someone explain what a backpass is ? I can honestly say I've never seen that come up before. I mean, if it's as simple as the player passing back to the goal keeper, what does that matter? Is it situational or is it because the other team was at the time on offense? confused! :P

His antics in this game were a bit disgraceful. Going down rolling around CRAWLING off the field and getting up the second he got off the field. Though the second time he tried to pull the time wasting the ref left him off for a good chunk of time. Ticked off the ref so much that when a teammate was legit hurt (and was subbed) the ref made Columbus wait a minute for the guy to come back on b4 he allowed the sub.

i didn't get to see the game. so i didn't know this. but i wouldn't say he's a disgrace to the game because of what he does in ONE match. emmanuel is a fantastic player and a fucking beast. i saw him play last year and was highly impressed. hopefully i'll make my way to columbus again this summer and watch him dominate.

The MLS league is censoring the footage of Ekpo in this montage because he was such a disgrace. 5 minutes of gametime literally crawling around, only to pop up IMMEDIATELY and keep playing. No I am not a Columbus fan. But I was at the game. Maybe all you saw were the highlights, or watched the game on t.v., but I had to sit through almost an entire game of his bullshit.

He literally spent 4-5 minutes on the ground rolling around in agony. But then he would magically be healed the next second, pop up and keep playing.

I've been watching football my whole life, and I have never seen a player waste so much time on the ground, pretending to be hurt.

my brother does the exact same thing when he gets injured. only he actually does get hurt. he just pops up so he can keep playing. but then after the match is over he's got a big ass knot on his ankle or a gash 1/5 inch deep. yet, i still say he's one of the best players in kentucky for his age. and that's the mothafucking truth. no matter what you say, your not gonna persuade me in hating Ekpo, he's a Crew player and as long as he remains so I support him.

none of us could either. Must have said something that got him sent off, but regardless... pointless red card if you ask me. Sucks Freddy missed the penalty kick, but the best have missed them. He's still a great player.
