It will only work on V3's (Which are phones available on the GSM network, ex. T-Mobile, Cingular, etc..). In CDMA, it's known as V3C or V3M. If you have CDMA (ex. Sprint, Metro PCS, Verison, etc..) you're out of luck, so it's pointless to even try as this hack will not work. If you still don't know the difference the two network, GSM phone uses SIM cards whereas CDMA don't. Just wanted to point this out.
