I cannot believe that George Martin killed Eddard Stark off. Of course, there are the Stark kids who are gonna change the world as they know it, but still. He was the most honorable men among all and he would have made a wonderful king. But that's how epic fiction writing goes. Sean Bean was phenomenal. His face goes far beyond what he expresses by words alone. That made Ned Stark's death even more difficult to deal with and absorb. The way he finally goes into peaceful resignation after knowing Arya is safe is one of the most goosebumps-inducing moments I've witnesses on TV in a very long time.

It's going to be a long winter until spring 2012 and season 2.
