Sting's got a real heavy accent. I know of a lot of English bands that sound American when they sing, but with these guys, in every song I can tell. Such great music comes out of there though... really fantastic
@TheKenfig i had one of there albums and it had the long one and the short one id play it in the car and i always thought why are there 2 until i fount out
@stephen20047 Yes Stephen, the 3 minute single I liked cos it was the one I was used to when it came out in Sept 1979 and was played on the radio all of the time. In October the album Regatta De Blanc came out and had the longer version which I thought spoiled it a bit for me and since then it seems all the Hits albums have the longer version. Dont know how yours has two ; what's it called ?. I might buy the original vinyl single from Ebay; they have plenty as it was no.1
@stephen20047 Interesting ; I looked on Wikipedia but it doesn't list two versions in the track listing for that album cos I dont have any greatest hits or best of albums for The Police, just the original albums and one double live cd
