please like this comment so people who dont know anything about cars can see it blown is slang for supercharged which is a form of forced induction powered by the crankshaft the reason they call it blown is because when they first tried using these in the early 1900s they tended to crack blocks or have problems with detonation due to low quality fuel IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE HOOD BEING OFF!!!!!

honest question here. Whats the point to a big ass blower if its only going to put down 5 to 10 psi? kenne bells and eatons can make a lot more than that and they can actually fit under your hood. I just dont get it, somebody help.

@burninrock24 This 8-71 is a roots style blower.. KB and eaton are twin screws which are a derivative of roots, but twin screws are much more efficient thus the smaller size. However, you must also take into account that this is carbureted versus the EFI setups from the two aforementioned companies.

Ive had race cars and street cars that you couldnt hear yourself think while they were running. When i want noise I take my blown drag boat out. in this car i prefer to hear just the motor, full float pistons, roller cam, and the blower. oh and all 2000 watts of JL audio while i go on 400 mile weekend cruise.

@Webepainting 2000watts doesn't really mean anything in audio terms, i have friends with sony eplodes that have 2000watt amps, doesn't mean they bump. how many and how big is the better. for example i have JL system competition set up on 600watt amp and 4 12" JL competition subs and 8 pioneer speakers, and 4 tweets. Of course its a van that houses it all, cause it's a lot of wiring and sub space. '96 chevy lumina to be exact. My van at full would kill a person, and it only took 600watts.

Just test drove a 2010 after install of the magnuson blower set up. It was very cool and very fast! Put down almost as much power on the dyno as mine. Go with the blower!
