his talent led to his back pain (playing a 20lb.guitar ALL night)which led to his addiction to pain killers which led to him writing songs that could never be undone.I know the story and live the life ,thanks
@lvpeckerwood um yes and no. he was born with spina bifida occulta the travel conditions of country musicians at that time worsened a condition he was born with.
Does this song ever end? People still waitin' for jobs too. Waitin' on that property tax bill without a job, waitin' for that insurance policy that won't provide without "community service" healthcare, waitin for some real government that is much more forgiving, much smaller. We're still a livin, so everythings ok.. lol
@lvpeckerwood Hank Williams has a severe problem with back pain which led to his addiction to pain killers. That doesn't take anything away from his talent for writing songs which will never be bested.

Good ole Luke the Drifter. Hank = one in a million. Songs true to life, true to human emotions. All we have for the most part today is variations on sexual themes :P. Hank was the best!!!
You will never truly understand Hank unless you listen to his Luke the Drifter records. He was a highly spiritual fellow which many people do not realize. I love Hank
Just heard Randy sing this in the Virginian :)

I still have mine from when the were new. My wife bought his Records when I was in Korea. Thank You for bringing back the old memories.
