oh, crap. Forgot that part II is way, WAY better. Been so long since I've enjoyed the amazing Talent and the messages they were trying to purvey that I forgot there were parts I did not appreciate. Crap, I need a light on this stupid keyboard. Keep missing flippant components.of the d*mned board.
Worse than Ouija; where you can at least stomp on it, curse it, burn it, and really not lose any money or karma. Keyboards just die and raspberry you as they go.
I love Alan Parsons but to say that this is "derived", "influenced", or "inspired" by Ligeti's Requiem is a gross misunderstatement and/or a sad euphemism. The correct term is plagiarized from GL.
this opus was written by arranger conductor andrew powell very distinctive and thoughe provoking, though generally eric or alan handled the lyrics, instrumentals.
@LoneStarBenF1995 i would say "observation", the analogy would be the "robot", to which we have become, yet, we have awakened, and, are unaware of our program.or programming....some thing like that.....would love to burn one right now

I keep asking myself... What happened to Britain that they don´t give us artists like the 70s and 80s anymore ?

The start is a bit like Richard Strauss's "Also sprach Zarathustra", as featured in 2001 Space Odissey.

the beginning of time; stars first set in motion; man's first breath of life; so many mental images.........his music is never simple.

I think the piece it's -ahem- derived from is Gyorgy Ligeti - Requiem

This sounds like when the ape men woke up - and there was the monolith, waiting for them.

Influenced by Gyorgi Ligeti. Try Lux Aeterna, if you like this.

You do realize that criticizing the Beatles is pretty much obsolete on an APP video? When Alan Parsons himself, liked the Beatles.

And produced them, lol
