WHY THE HELL DO ALL MY FAV PEOPLE DIE!!! they killed lucciola and almost killed dio it is bull i hate dio's stupid sister so much! R.I.P dear lucciola
I saw this when I was ten. I remember watching this and breaking down so badly I had to turn the tv off and headed to bed. I forgot of this and watched bleach. I think this is why I love byakuya and senbonzakura so much.
who is Dio and who is Liciola? which is the boy and which is the girl, cuz all ive got is that the evil person in the chair wanted to catch the boy, but the girl like transformed into him, and let him escape. is this rite, or am i wayy off track? ive never seen last exile before, so... yeah... anyone who has an answer to who these people are and what is going on, answers would be appreciated. :) thanx. :D
@TaigaPakkunari4ever Dio is the younger brother of the person in the chair and Luciola is the person in the clip. Dio and Luciola are both boys and Luciola is Dios protector and friend.
that's the awful truth only rumors, i've searching in the web for at least a scan of that artbook but nothing, and it's harder with such little info, but i'll keep searching if something comes out i'll post it
i found this comment about what happened to dio after he falls from the vanship and i'd like to think that it's true.
roccuno: Actually, Dio never died. A book, which is only in Japanese, tells that Dio was picked up by a passing Guild ship. He is then seen in a piece of official artwork on the farm where the series ended. Or at least we think it's Dio, as the person is in a Guild uniform, and is waving toward everyone else. They all look excited to see the person.
Ah, I saw this comment too! Much as I would like to believe in it, the existence of this mysterious book has never been confirmed.. :( As for the artwork you mentioned, there are rumors that it belongs to the cancelled second season of Last Exile where Dio was supposed to stay alive. But again, these are only rumors.
@nataliya13 You'll have to wait a few months, I saw it at the world premiere at Anime Expo. the show comes out in japan I think in october or august..
@then00best I've already read it. But the most exciting thing is that Dio actually returned, Junko Noda is in the seiyuu list . So I'll wait with a light heart ))
I share your feelings entirely. But Luciola died trying to save Dio at least. Dio's death was completely meaningless - and in addition it reduced the value of Luciola's sacrifice.
@nataliya13 But you have to understand, when Dio was confused and did not remember everything except that one moment in the race against the mysteriously good pilot(Claus) at the point of his death. There was basically no hope for him anyway. Lucciola was his most trusted friend. Without him, Dio would have been a changed person. Without the first friend he ever made and shared all the moments with, he would have been misery itself. And Claus gave Dio up for loss after witnessing his change.
@nataliya13 The moment Delphine forced him to go into the machine, his fate wasn't going to end well. The moment Dio disappeared from the hospital and flew a vanship alone and still "memory-less", his fate was already clear. I had hoped he remembered or somehow faked his mindlessness, but he only knew Claus' face from the dinner table until the "He ignored me..." part.
It doesn't dishonor Lucciola's death at all it's just an unfortunate event that happened. Dio was free when he died.Free of her
@nataliya13 I loved Dio with all my heart for his childish attitude on several occasions and his joy for a new kind of birthday celebration, but his death was not unforgivable. (However, a quicker death than falling from high heights would have been a bit nicer...)
Dio is alive at the end of the last episode you hear his voice say "Ascending!" and in the second season Dio is singing the birthday song

I love yet hate this clip, it was so sad...but it was so sweet and showed the true colors of the friendship between Dio and Lucciola.
