  • very underrated composer. i actually love his pieces.

  • Nietzsche was not an anti-semite. He held ALL religion in the same regard.

Please inform your brain before you work your mouth. Or type for that matter.

  • Zarathustrization =)

  • Great piece!

  • Very funny and cutie <3

    I just love it!

  • his CRITIQUE of judaism does not make him an anti-semite. He stated that his criticism of anyone or thing is actually giving it much respect by even spending his hard earned time and energy on given subject. Are some of his poems bordering on anti-semitism, sure. But like anyone brutally honest and individual, there will be alot of hard edges. He was a great man, one of the greatest. And btw I'm half Jewish...

  • @maxabeles ? how could one interpret him as anti-semite?... the first time i ever read any word by his on jews, he was praising their conservative nature, stating that if it weren't for them, and their ways, that the West would have become phylosophically oriental, and we would have strayed far from western tendencies and norms without them.

  • @maxabeles What I fail to comprehend is why people are so worried about anti-semitism.

  • Comment removed

  • @divinityboy Have you never listened to Richard Wagner? :(

Anti-Semitism can be seen as the hatred and rejection of usury. Wagner wrote magnificent operas celebrating Germanic culture and lived in an era where such prejudice was not only common-place, but arguably, based on what these people knew, justified. Now we are in a more enlightened age and usury is seen as the lifeblood of our economy and not a most grievous sin. Wagner's feelings were not inappropriate for his time and area.

  • Pure blissful indiferance! From what I hear, his music was highly criticized. However, his indifference to such criticism is what makes it so great. It was solely something of his own.

  • beautiful!!!! brillant music from a brillant man thank you for the post

  • nietzsche made music really awesome music with philosophy the music of life

  • 1:13 - 1:19 reminds me of Bach's endless canon

  • Благодарю тебя Ницше, Ты жив в наших Сердцах.

  • ha pretty damn good you ol german bastard!

  • your an idiot

  • Nietzsche is great, actually, better than richard Wagner!

  • @JN2699 Better than Wagner ? Wagner's inspiration came from the flow of divine thoughts, but Nietzsche was quite a mad Polack at times.

  • @Goetterdaemmerung7 There is always some madness in love. But there is also always some reason in madness.

  • i like it :P

  • Nietzsche always wanted to be great, he was so full of inferiority complexes, felt small against women and other men. so his philosophy is so martialic and "mighty". its kinda ridiciulous. But anyway his creation is very interesting and fascinating and in some parts very deep. it makes you to think about things in another way. but his philosophy is more a very nice accumulation of aphorism than a real philosophy. i like the anti-christ. i hated zarathrusta. the last one was a eruption of narzism

  • @sunzsu I feel the opposite is the case w/ regard 2 Zarathustra & Antichrist. The first was a far superior composition, as it more deeply ponders the degree to which men r able to resist habit, custom & lethargy & define their own values: more than this, it asks us if we r capable of transcending the values we choose to conceive of a type of self we might be capable of were we to strive 4 & demand it. There is more subtlety to Zarathustra. Anticrhrist sounds just like Diderot or J.H. Lambert.

  • @musicalidea ok, i agree with you that the message of zarathrusta is much deeper in facing mankinds potential fate. i like the way strauss composed the "übermensch", the whole idea of the rise of new and better values and humans (but hopefully not the way nietzsche saw them). but i didnt like the way he narrated it. But you are right, even Antichrist is not a masterpiece. Zarathrusta is probably the heart of nietzsches creation.

  • @sunzsu We concur! It's a shame I was too stupid to edit my last comment to remove the grammatical errors. On a side note: I think Youtube should open up a section called "Youtube Forums" or "Youtube Debates" where individuals who agreed w one another could open up a public debate abt a given issue - e.g. the minimum wage, tax policy, sweatshops, the Iraq war, renditions of a Beethoven sonata, etc. - that would allow them to post back & forth comments & have much larger character limits.

  • @musicalidea Thats a good proposal. it would expand the options for users enormously. btw dont mind grammatical errors in this debate, my english isnt good enough to recognize them ;-)

  • " Life- is no argument, within the conditions of life there is room for error " said Nietsche;

  • Eh. Not bad. Not fantastic, but not bad.

  • Das ist fantastich!

  • I actually like the last 20-30 seconds or so, very playful.

the beginning is a bit boring... overall, his style is a bit turgid and mundane.

  • Oh god, I'm quite glad he spent most of his time with words instead of notes!

  • @musicalidea Oh come on! It's not THAT bad.

  • @musicalidea If only he had spent more time explaining his words as well...

  • yes,I'm a keen music buff,yey his timbre

is all over the place.I'd diagnoze it as possible wood rot.

  • @jazmunk Who cares?

Show me your compositions, and with no reguard to the science of music, I will tell which is most pleasant to me.

Technicalities only create reason to hate without the use of basic judgement.

  • Good lord, that piano is out of tune. And the pianist has no imagination-- all these phrases are about as flat as a warm soda.

No wonder nobody seems to like it :D

  • Clearly this is just the instrumental, rather than he versions which include tenor vocals superseding it. What album/publishing company is it that includes the pieces you have uploaded which are purely instrumental?

  • ghastly.

  • Schubert-like, light and playful.

Not a great melodist, which seems to have gone into his written style instead.

  • Yes, yes it is. Light and affirmative.

  • @myfanniejigglesaboot GOD DOES NOT EXIST, GOT IT?? NEVER IN YOUR FLOFFY LIFE THINK ABOUT IT, HE DOESN´T EXIST. MAN CREATED GOD NOT GOD THE CREATED THE MAN. HAVE NIGHTMARES!

  • @JN2699 How can you be so sure? Your negative statement holds no more water than that of a theist.

  • The fact that you don't like his philosophy, or his music, doesn't give you authority to say its a horrible piece of music.

It could be to you, though. But for another youtube fellas, it could be not.

    So, peace...

  • Well, actually he has the authority to say it. As this is a platform in which free speech governs. However he may not have the authority to decide whether the piece is objectively a good piece of music. But then again all that can be said about music in terms of quality is subjective.

  • youtube is great :D thx for sharing

  • Who exactly is in a position of "authority" to say whether a piece is "horrible?" Seems as though music is one of the few things where there isn't an objectively right or wrong, good or bad way to go about doing it. It's all about opinion here.

I mean, I'm a music student in a university, but that doesn't give me any more authority to say whether a piece is "good" than a biology major. I may have a more educated opinion, but that doesn't make me "right."

  • @Carlosmr1984

Face it buddy Neeche was the worst musician in the world. GOT IT

  • @Carlosmr1984 I truly admire Nietzsche's philosophy, and find his music enchanting as well.

However, I believe you are in error when you say that for one it could be trash and another treasure, so let's agree to disagree...

Nietzsche would NOT approve of agreeing to disagree- all that comes of that is disagreement is prolonged and agreement postponed.

Fight over it! Argue! Do not shy away from the unpleasantness of debate, rather, embrace it's beauty, and seek and fight for truths!

  • dumb boring-ass WHITE music for boring-ass WHTIE people...I'm AFRICAN AMERICAN, bitch, I dont listen to this fuckin SHIT. Bird shit is what it is...white and stinky.... I LISTEN TO RAP AND HIP HOP BITCH I DON"T BOTHER WITH THIS WHITE SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Bregowald hahahaha. brilliant comment. whether it was ironic or not.

  • @Bregowald you sound like you hate your own brain - i guess that´s what happens when you can´t deal with bad experience.

  • @Bregowald Go back to africa stupid..

  • @Bregowald Since all humans orginally come from Africa were all pretty much African American, or Africans in America.

    You're black, stupid...

  • @Bregowald Hip hop is Western music and ALL Western music is affected by earlier Western music- which belongs in the same genre as this rather medicore example.

Now I'll digrees: you are most likely descended from Africans who arrived in America so long ago it is absurd to call yourself African at all. Also who made the internet? Who invented the programming that could create a site like Youtube? Mostly whites have created your luxuries. So, be quiet and enjoy what we whites have made for you

  • @eqdmuf i'm sure all fo those things were invented by black people but white idiots like yoself STOLE the ivnention from us.....thats how history always plays out... we all come from AFRICANS........ white people are dumb bitch assed albino mutants who should be whiped off the face of the earth for all the opression u people have caused us.. FUCK the white race, BITCH!!!

  • @Bregowald I'm not sure why I'm wasting time with you, troll, but how did Caucasians steal something they made themselves? Also, Africans sold other Africans into slavery just as whites forced whites into slavery. Therefore, wipe out all the descendants of coastal Africans for the oppression they sold you into for guns, wipe out the descendants of Muslims who bought African slaves, the upper class, the government, those with power over you. What's left? Just you, xenophobic racist.

  • @Bregowald

    lolwut

  • @Carlosmr1984 Actually hs got the authority to state is oppinion. It is our authority to disregard it, and look at him as if he is retarded.

  • @Carlosmr1984 Actually, musical value is not completely relative. His opinion probably lacks any sense of taste. I'm using tatse in David Hume's sense of the word.

  • @Carlosmr1984 are you kidding. If a person is not allowed to give it a bad judgement, then what makes a person allowed to give it a good judgement? Ever hered of logic? You have hered of subjectivity, but you haven't understood how it applies. It applies like so: everything that is subjecitve is subjective and there is no hierarcy amongst subjective judgements. To state that there is does not adhere to reason.

  • @Carlosmr1984 Why not? Now that's a fascist comment.

  • First u most read it, second u most understand it. And is obvious (4 your comment) that u don't read or understand a shit.

Primero debes de leerlo, después entenderlo. Y (por tu comentario) es obvio que ni lo has leído no entendido (no tienes ni puñetera idea de lo que dices).

  • Can You tell me, what is the name of album? Or where can I simply find all this piano works of Nietzsche??? I would be very, VERY grateful to You!!! :)

  • i like this one very much :)
