The 2 hole draw on my C harp died while I was watching this video and playing along a little, I think that's a sign that I need to replace it with a Special 20?
Thanks JP , spent the last few days trying to choose my first harmonica. The vibe I'm getting is that the special 20 is the winner for a beginner and expert. Your great review has swung it for me . Thanks.
When it comes to harmonicas...I would say the Special 20 ($22-$30) would be a great choice for the beginner because the cheaper harps won't inspire you to play as easily when it comes to blues bending cross harp...now if you are unsure about your budding guitar player, I wouldn't suggest a '59 Les Paul Custom as a first instrument.
@greglawrence I've been playing on and off for about 11 months now, for the past month i've been trying (and failing) to learn to bend notes.
I can bend the first hole perfectly, but no others, not even a bit. I'm playing a Suzuki Harpmaster in C, do you think buying the Hohner special 20 would help me learn faster?
Good lesson Jp!
thanx!
..never stop!

What key are you playing that harp in?
MisterHazza 1 year ago
@MisterHazza C is the only key he sells on his site. It's a safe bet to say he's playing in C.
