Given that, the human picks the best tool for the job; a gun. A lack of a gun wouldn't stop the crime given the maliciousness of that person. If their is a will there's a way.

I've never bought a gun out of fear or fired a shot in anger. I don't like these generalization about our culture either based on fear or violence in popular fiction. I don't think these concepts are true. Really they are just forced upon us by media and other industries. They exist to make some far flung explanation about the reasons people commit atrocities, when in actuality people have killed others for no reason other than it is in their nature to do so.
