  • That's a great line-up collection piece, and nice zoom-title graphics too. High Plains Drifter was another recurring TV-38 movie over the years here, along with Duel- both great movies. The Godspell bit reminds me of radio in the early 70's..

  • Boy, those were the days when watching a movie on television was an event to look forward to. Today's kids just don't know what that feeling is like, thanks to the profusion of cable channels, DVDs, video on demand, Hulu and, yes, YouTube.

  • @RoyKnable ..i hearyou i grew up in those days as well.its nice to have the options of modern cable, satellite and internet etc.but there is always a cost for advances in this case the "anticipation factor" of seeing BIG movies outside of the theatre (which was the only other option before the mid 80's) is now long past into history...i still recall the excitement of being able watch even edited versions of Jaws, Alien, Star Wars and Close Encounters when they came on t.v. for the first time

  • @vardiss22 and those tv versions sometimes had extras that the theater version did not have. even different from the dvd releases. very much sought after by collecors

  • @tapthatt2012 - I see what you mean by deleting this by mistake. But I also see about "earlier graphics" - while this is the same typeface used for their better known openings and bumpers, the layout is different, ditto for the theme music.

  • Well, the version here is a prototype after all.

    :o\

  • This, I can see. :D As I could the last time this was up.
