be careful with duac... it bleaches your skin. i used to be sworthy and olive skin toned but i used the duac for ages i noticed my skin getting lighter and lighter so now my skin tone is quite uneven! -.- but it did clear my acne atleast :)

Have you ever tried using just calamine lotion. For me it worked just as well as the mario badescu but its so much cheaper.

FYI: I just looked up some info about the differences btween Argan Oil for cosmetic purposes and Argail Oil for cooking:

"The first difference lies in how they are produced. While argan oil for cosmetic uses is pressed from the raw kernels of the argan tree, argan oil for culinary uses is taken from kernels that have been gently roasted. The second difference is that for pressing cosmetic argan oil, only kernels of the highest quality are used. Both types of oil are highly beneficial."

You should try the Buffering Lotion from Mario Badescu. The Drying Lotion worked pretty well for me on its own, but combined with the Buffering Lotion, my acne was KILLED!

Benzoyl peroxide doesn't do much for me so I tried the Mario Beduscue drying lotion because I saw it recommended by several youtubers. Unfortunately it did nothing for me. I did try it several times and tried to be patient but I saw no change in the size of my acne spots. I also didn't get the slight stinging sensation that a lot of people said they got after they put it on. Not sure what that means. I'm not trying to say that it's worthless but just that it doesn't work for everyone.

Oh I'm so glad to see you do a review on the Mario Badescu Drying Lotion - I saw it on Hautelook too but I was wary of buying it and not having it work on my finicky skin. I think we have fairly similar skin and after hearing you give it a thumbs up, I think I'm going to get it the next time it shows up! I really appreciate you pointing out it works better with little acne vs cystic acne so I don't have unreasonable expectations. Love you and all your videos!! :DD

I love Mario Badescu Drying Lotion as well! I feel like this product really saved my skin at a time where I just kept breaking out and my face had tons of acne scars. =/ You should try Mario Badescu Healing Cream. I have been using it for about a month now and it greatly reduces redness and evens out discoloration. It makes your skin super soft and works awesome on sensitive skin. Highly recommend it!

@harajukuLoverrrrr I had bad acne from age 11-21 and it got better because I went to the dermatologist and got prescription medications to treat it. If you are really concerned, I do recommend seeing a doctor! Just keep in mind with a lot of prescription meds, it takes 3+ months to see results and it gets worse before it gets better. ;)

@harajukuLoverrrrr I had really bad acne from junior high until about age 17 and I tried EVERYTHING to get rid of it - every product you could think of, I have tried and nothing really worked for me.

In my experience I just had to grown out of my acne - I'm almost 20 now and besides the occasional break out, my skin is acne free.

Everyone is different and everyone's skin is different. You just have to find what works for you and possibly just wait for your skin to grown out of the acne.

@harajukuLoverrrrr i had had acne for 10 years starting from age 12 :( My skin got better for the last two year because i found good product that could stop acne for me. it was Kiehl's Daily blemish treatment something (the name is too long) and i'm still using it til today. just find the best product for you cus nobody has the same skin type. good luck:)

I'm 25 now and I started using a mineral powder instead of a cream base and I've noticed a big difference. The loose powder didn't cover as well but Avon came out with a pressed powder and it covers really well. I've also seen my skin clearer then it's ever been. Hope it helps.

@mintymomo and exfoliating really helps too if theyre flaking. Mix 3 teaspoons of olive oil, two teaspoons of honey, and two teaspoons on sugar, mix mix mix and after youve washed your face, scrub this stuff on and scrub gently for two minutes, to really get rid of dead skin, and rinse. It'll feel oily but thats ok, and when you wake up in the morning,your face will be hydrated and soft! <3

For the Argan oil, I'm not sure about the ones you get from whole foods but I used a brand called Eden Allure before using the Josie Maran brand and the Eden Allure is a lot more runny and watery, like a lot more watered down so I feel like you get much better quality product from Josie Maran. and try the clean and clear popped pimple drying paste if you like the drying lotion, its a lot cheaper and it definitely reduces the pimple
