@dornravlin I actually like that the effects for the death scene step outside the "real." More like what the Priest might experience as he crosses the threshold into Hell.

Lucio Fulci (The Director) wasn't anti-religion according to most sources he was catholic the only real reason the killer is a priest is because he didn't want to make the audience feel comfortable the ending made it all the more disturbing.
