Holy shit!! Way to bet up a 90 year old women you assholes. I've lived in a hurricane area for 30+ years and have never been force to evacuate. They have called it a mandatory evacuation but was told by police that they can't force anyone out. They do put up a curfew to keep people off the street, but they can't make us leave. And they damn sure don't take our guns. New Orleans is a fucked up place.

Okay, I see a lot of problems with this:
#1.- She was in no danger, had shelter, food, water and protection.
#2.- That behavior from cops is irrational, illegal, it violates her rights, they had no warrant so therefor had no right to arrest her, and a few other things.
Personally I think those cops should lose their badges, guns and be imprisoned for their un-necessary and illegal brutality. Whatever happened to " serve and protect " ?

@chillywinter16 Okay, just so I stop getting replies to my comment, it wasn't reasonable to tackle an old lady and in hindsight I'm sure the cop wouldn't be so aggressive, but the job of a police officer is a dangerous and difficult one that they do to keep you and your families safe. Compound what is already a difficult job with what was going on in New Orleans and you have an officer with some stressed nerves. Police are trained to react to the threat of a firearm and that's what he did.

No they didn't do their job. When they signed up for they're job, they swore, not promised but swore, to obey (and defend) the constitution. Disarming US citizens without a warrant (not an executive order, a warrant) is a violation of the second an fourth amendments.
