i thought it was really weird when i first started. the dough is pre made and it comes to us in boxes, i used to work at papa johns as the dough slapper but they didn't even make their dough. they had it send in as underproofed balls and we let them proof and then we would edge lock the dough, dock it, then slap it out. my dad said he worked at pizza hut as a kid and he told me that back in tha day they made their dough but they dont anymore.
