  • It was the last song I send to a friend... Now she´s not here, she´s walking in the heaven. I miss her, but I think she´s happy, she´s seeing us listening pulp and enjoing... enjoing her new life, and keep us a place there, where there´s not time, where pain does not exist. :D We miss you Bere, but I know you are better there, smiling every day ñ.ñ

  • 2 people don't have any soul.

  • Great song, just wonder how anyone could not like it?

  • @Originalsin4ever dont care about people who dont like..care for those who like ;)

  • A masterpiece : only second to Common People

  • this is totally about his dad Joe cocker.

  • @kaliyuta

He should have told him to get a little help from his friends.

This is Hardcore and We Love Life are massively underrated albums but for my money are the best things the band ever did.

  • @kaliyuta is that sarcasm? they're not related you realise?

  • @HowlinShambles i think the fact that him and his mom have both said in interviews that his dad skipped out wasn't around. In the Pulp documentary filmed in Sheffield Jarv's mum said that Joe Cocker "used to babysit little jarvis from time to time" Have a little soul is the title of one of Joe Cocker's songs from the 60's.This song clearly is also about childhood abandonment.I don't know it's all a little strange.

  • @kaliyuta yeah i've heard all that before, but it doesn't make joe cocker his dad does it... makes him an occassional babysitter... faaairly different

  • @HowlinShambles Hmmm i find it peculiar.Since his mum's surname isn't Cocker.

  • @kaliyuta His dad's surname is Cocker which is how he got it. His dad is Mack, a radio DJ in Darwin, Australia who left him, his sister Saskia, and his mum when Jarvis was seven. They had a bit of a reunion a few years ago, but it didn't really go well, IIRC.

Anyway, not Joe Cocker but Mack, now of Australia.
