  • LEGALIZE!!!!!

  • he gave a talk at my university, then toked outside while we asked him questions, it was awesome he's got a lot of interesting info

  • smoke weed all day. all i do. smoke weed. i dont give a FUUCK

  • i smoke weed. i dont do drugs. just weed

  • the only reason ppl are so against weed is because there is alot of dumbasses who cant jus stick to bud and have to go to something else which labeled marijuana as a " GATEWAY DRUG" and this isnt a fuking fact

  • Is marijuana legal in Michigan with a prescription?

  • It doesn't matter if it's dangerous or not. The state has no buisiness telling us what to injest.

  • no only there is nothing wrong with, it actually has a thousands of use.

  • @bigmike902000

"NOBODY has ever died from using it."

That part specifically is a parroted lie. In one hospital, it was reported that 34.7% of the patients of accidents were under the influence or hit by someone under the influence of marijuana. Scientists reported a 30% higher chance of accidents at home or abroad due to being high.

    So let's quit that statement.

  • @AceofDlamonds

The statement is talking about deaths from only using the substance. People can die from using too much cocaine or heroin, and even drinking too much water, but it is basically impossible to OD on marijuana since the tolerance our bodies have is so high.

  • @adamrussek123

okay well that argument isn't a strong one considering there are many other factors besides overdosing. Most drug users DON'T die from using even the most powerful illicit drugs like crack and methamphetamines.

  • @AceofDlamonds You are a fucking idiot. They are talking about death from the actual substance.

  • @doreilly15

Hey moron, listen to the point being said, or don't fucking comment.

I said simply claiming marijuana overdosing has never lead to a reported death is disingenuous because all factors must be held into account, not just to drug. It's like telling a police officer that you still drive pretty safely even when drunk.

  • Comment removed

  • @AceofDlamonds WHAT? Are you fucking serious? How people drive on it, and it's lethal effects on the individual user are COMPLETELY different. You cannot simply rule it out because of that. Do you realize how retarded what you are saying is?

  • @doreilly15

Sure, you never should assume a person WON'T drive intoxicated from either drug when legal and available. Simply saying noone has died from overdosing is too easy in that sense. There are a whole lotta factors out there. You honestly think noone would drive super-high or drive drunk? It happens even as they're illegal now.

  • @AceofDlamonds That has little impact on whether or not the substance should be legalized

  • @AceofDlamonds Did you read what I said? It's a given that people will drive high/drunk, but it has no reason to be placed in a debate about the substances lethal effects on an individual user.

  • @doreilly15

Well if you read my exchange way before, I was referring to this point. I really don't care that noone has been recorded dying from overdosing marijuana. It's a fantastic improbability knowing the chemical makeup of the drug anyway.....

What MATTERS is the practical effects, or rather, the effects on the user when moving in everyday life.

  • @AceofDlamonds Are you going to elaborate on that? I don't think that is the major concern at all it's much more important to know the lasting effects on the user. The drug is being used as a medicine so why do you find what MATTERS to be the way people will act in everyday life? For the record look at this guy he's obviously fine.

  • @doreilly15

Please understand the context. From the beginning I was not referring to controlled medical marijuana. I first referred to someone's claim that no one has died from marijuana overdose as a recreational drug, to paraphrase.

That was the statement I had a problem with. As far as I know, marijuana as controlled medicine is no worse than other common drugs.

  • It made his arms shorter!

  • I think that women behind him got into that cannister because she just keeps spacing out for awhile

  • marijuana abuse is responsible for many deaths. it's not even up for debate.

  • @muffemod are you a troll, or do you honestly think you'll find good results when you google "drug prohibition success"?

  • @knifeshock1 I not exactly sure what you mean. Going back to what I stated before; there have been countless documented cases were someone abused marijuana, and it resulted in death to themselves or an innocent bystander. I am not talking about death from smoke inhalation, I am talking about impairing their decision making abilities. For instance jumping out a balcony window, or getting behind a wheel of a car and mowing down a married couple. It undeniably happens.

  • @muffemod so because some people act stupid while under the influence, it's not up for debate?

alcohol does far more damage to decision making abilities than cannabis

  • @knifeshock1 I am in furious agreement with you. I was making the point against the speaker in the video, who said that no one ever got killed from marijuana. Directly perhaps not, but indirect deaths are undeniable.

  • @muffemod ah i see. i apologize for the miscommunication. i believe he was referring to a study the fda once did, comparing those who directly died from smoking marijuana and the results of deaths from other drug overdoses/long term illnesses. of course, their study showed no deaths, if i recall correctly

  • fuck legalizing weed, makes life harder for drug dealers lol

  • @safwan94 lmao those drug dealers sure are lucky the feds know how to brainwash the masses

  • He should team up with Mark Emery.

  • 6 people are either dealers, or they work for the feds

  • saw him speak in helena montana at a conference on medical cannabis. He's awesome. His book is cool too. Filled with great info for educating people who are still in the dark about this. There's videos of it on the Hot Box youtube page.

  • how can you give a thumbs down to this video?

  • lmfao he mind fucked the judge and those other ppl in the front :D

  • Irvin is my hero.

  • If only everybody knew about videos like this. Stop putting law abiding citizens in jail for something as harmless as marijuana. Legalize it.

  • Irv: Legalize this shit homes...

Stoners in the background: yo...this guy right here...this guy...right here...man...hes doin good things....y'know?

Other Stoners: yeah....wait whats he talking about?

  • THANKS IRV !

  • EPIC

  • This guy is totally blazed.

  • devils lettuce

  • And the reason why I say there is no absolute proof that it is bad or not bad for you is because the government has turned a blind eye to studies that have been made on "medical" marijuana. You may be asking why pffffsh thats a good question that I dont have the answer to and I doubt the federal government has one either.

  • Ok so there is no absolute proof that pot is bad or not bad for you, but the thing is there are plenty of things you can consume that are bad for you. I mean hell if you eat mc donnalds every day at any age it is PROOVEN bad for you and can lead to leathal conditions but are they outlawing big macs I think not. You dont have to smoke it but why outlaw it. The tax money alone from marijuana would pull us out of our US defficet (typo?) I say legalize it!

  • This guy is epic

  • hehaha laughing stoners in the backround

  • ERY DAY

  • All day every day. I don't give a FUCK!

  • This video is proof that cannabis does not damage the brain.

  • 11 onces in 25 days he has to smoke these Joints like a pack of cigerettes OMG!!!!

  • @raytex09 they're not joints they're blunts

  • @SuperLulzor

Are you sure? 'Cause I heard blunts were hollowed out cigars who were then stuffed with marijuana

(Not trolling or anything, just trying to get this straight)

  • I saw his other video. This man smokes about 10 Cannabis joints everyday and he is a successful Stockbroker. This shows that the Federal Government who grows his Cannabis knows full well the benefits of Cannabis. They don't want to know, but they know anyways. He is living proof everytime he gets up. People who smoke it and light up another and smoke it non stop are going overboard, but even then what do they do wrong? Sit on the couch and eat? Wow that is a crime. Munchies!!! Ooh Run!

  • lololololololololololololol

  • When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace.

  • 11 ounces every 25 days?! This guy is a champ.

  • thats what i was thinking WOW!!!!

  • Ganja/Cannabis/Hemp the bud is good medicine, esp when used wisely. It's time to learn to heal ourselves and be happy.

  • this guy is very very intelligent and successful and they say marijuana makes you dumb and turns you into a drug addict

  • This guy should be on CNN NBC or FOX. Make thid guy known to the public.

  • bravo bravo i love hearing this guy talk

  • im crying right now... that poor old lady

  • GOD DAMN RIGHT

  • Smart guy and good proof marijuana dont make you retarded like alot of people think, I love smoking weed and I dont see shit wrong with it.

  • Wonderful Speech! If their was a god he wouldn't let this shit happen!

  • well he makes a good point

  • It's interesting that he gets his marijuana in pre-rolled joints. I would think they would distribute it in buds so he could use it however he wants. Not everyone prefers to smoke the plant.

I also wonder what type of variation of weed he gets to smoke. Is he getting sweet headies or regular mids to smoke?

  • I remember I saw something about the type of bud they give, and apparently it's not much better than reg. I can't be sure, but I don't think that he gets the good stuff

  • You ever heard of marijuana vending machines?

In CA you get to pick your own bud and flavour XD

  • Don't try to make it sound that simple man.

You still need a prescription. And it is still liable to be hit by the DEA.

  • Well I thought that was common sense, so I didnt need to mention

  • You give the internet too much credit. ;-)

  • My god... your right!

  • Irv please come to IL. We could really use your help. There trying to pass HB2415 & SB1381. I think youu could really have impact on the residents of IL. Its crucial that this law passes. IL is a big state and theres alot of people that could benifet from this bill. Please help IL in the fight become the 14th state.

  • i wish they legalize khat in america too

    it's the best....especially for men...why?

simple, it's like ecstasy and viagra 2 in 1 can't beat that

  • Using ecstasy is plain ignorance and a waste of life.

  • ignorance is not knowing what the drug is. There hasn't been 1 death EVER from using "khat" show me proof.

  • Khat?

    What the hell is that?

Are you saying that ecstasy isn't deadly?

  • And if you read my first comment then we wouldn't be having this argument and i said "it's like ecstasy and viagra" I didn't say it was.

  • I was referring to thizz.

Please don't tell me you're saying it's not deadly.

  • If you'd read what he actually said, and you had the IQ of, say, a seventh grader, you'd have realized that he is not.

  • Pure thizz is not deadly to many. The death count for PURE ecstasy is pretty low in the double digits. Some react more to ecstasy.

But I find it sad that ecstasy (And LSD is in the same boat) first started out for psychotherapists to help them break down any barriers in their mind. (To get over traumatic experiences, etc.)

So, no, using ecstasy is not plain ignorance. Abusing anything is ignorance.

  • Excuse me, I meant, "break down the barriers in their patient's minds."

  • I knew a girl who died her first time trying thizz....

    It didn't take abuse.

  • That would be the first case in recorded history.

Either that, or you dont have your facts straight.

  • hahah

    No actually.

    Look up Irma Perez.

She is dead because of thizz.

  • actually I just googled her name and it said she died from Ecstasy. You fail.

  • Thizz is ecstasy.

  • You're mistaken. This is not ecstacy, this is marijuana. Marijuana is non-toxic and your friend died of ecstacy.

  • Well, makes you wonder where this Irma Perez got her "thizz." I'm not too sure you can determine the quality of the pill. Chances are, it had something pretty messed up in it.

  • this*

Spell right, then maybe we can try to have a debate.

  • This is really disheartening to see the lengths that people have to go to just to use cannabis.

  • Its all bullshit about it being illegal, they know it isn't bad....but there is a hell of a lot more money in lobbyists from pills and such from drug companies.....so who really runs the government here......hmmmmmmmmm

  • BRAVO, NOW LETS STIMULATE THE ECONOMY

  • BRAVO!!!

    THANK-YOU

  • Irvins a cool dude

  • dude you rock!!!

  • someone smart please help me

    great vid Eq

  • legalized chuh ching

  • Legalize. There is nothing wrong with marijuana.

  • Just legalize weed. Stop pussyfooting around the issue, goddammit.

  • Vote yes on prop 1 on Nov 4th if you live in Michigan to legalize medical marijuana, prop 2 is for stem cell research

  • It's so ironic that nothing but social stigma can cause a perfectly harmless medicine to be banned for so long. It's pathetic. The War on Drugs really needs to die, for so many reasons.

  • wrong place to solve the problem

  • well done.

    spread this video.

  • BRAVO

  • Under a Mcain Presidency, all States providing for medical marijuana patients would loose Federal Highway funding. This will take place. Why? Because John Mcain is going to be the next President of the United States! The writing is on the wall! He has pledged to toughen existing laws, giving those the pocession of even small amounts manditory prison sentences. Under a Mcain presidency, the existing prison population could swell to 5 million in the next four years!

  • mcain is a fucking numbnut. Any Americans that vote for that punk deserve to be castrated...for the rest of the worlds sake.

Do us all a favour, vote for Obama...

  • mccain graduated bottom 5% of his class ur right he is a dumbass

  • that's actually pretty amazing.

  • It would, indeed, have THC in it.

Look at it this way: 100% THC is available in pill form under the brand name Marinol. It is difficult to titrate to the needed dose and is kind of useless for nausea since you can't keep it down if you are vomiting. Smoking or vaporizing allows one to get only the amount they need.

  • more importantly marinol has been shown to cause damaging psychosis.

  • THC is the active ingredient that medical marijuana provides. It kind of defeats the purpose if it isn't there

  • It is there; however, there is not enough to feel "high", but enough to relieve the pains he suffers.

  • This shit aint spam

  • Not spam

  • not spam

  • chill, he is only getting a small high. The government supplied cannabis is generally shwag.

  • LOL no its all the dankest dank son. the dankest.

  • you say you dont get high ? you are lying, Be completely honest, It should be legal for adults PERIOD. Just like beer and wine. The federal government are liars. Dont do any interviews with fox news either. They are bought and paid for by repubs.

  • Xaronax:

People should be able to smoke it regardless! It's a living plant that has many qualitys. Who are you (or anyone else) to tell people that they can't smoke it. Nazi

  • This man is absolutely on the ball.

  • Fuck the federal government's stance on marijuana and medical marijuana. Fuck them for getting rid of the program that allows people like this man to live.

  • Amazing speech he gave

  • I am acctually a medical patient in california and i think irv is an amasing guy although im not just for marijuana for medical use i think any body who wants to you it should be aloud to use it it helps everyone rather they need it or not!

  • phenomenal guy

I have no illness, but I use marijuana everyday. I enjoy it, it makes me happy, why not? Why the hell do I have to stay underground and feel like I'm doing something wrong? When people are out drinking making asses of themselves everyday? Legalize and tax ALL marijuana, now.

  • This gentleman has an awesome delivery and very efficiently countered the argument against the decriminalization of medicinal marijuana... Kudos, Sir!

  • This gentleman has an awesome delivery and very efficiently countered the key arguments against the decriminalization of medicinal marijuana... Kudos, Sir.

  • that guy had a great persuasive energy. He got up there and absolutely nailed it. The government has nowhere to hide so they are simply not responding. the marijuana prohibition will inevitably end and it will not take long

  • i smoke weed sometimes. not medicinally, just for fun. i don't get how it's illegal but cigarettes and alcohol are legal. it doesn't make any sense. oh well, i hope people who need it get it as soon as possible. marijuana should be mandatory so everyone could just chill out and drop all these bullshit issues people complain about these days.

anywho, people need it and it should be legalized.

    RON PAUL 2008

  • Wow! This is a great video that needs to get way more than 7,000 views per year. Really.

  • Bravo dude. I dont smoke it but I do think it should be legalized for medicinal purposes.

  • Thank you, Irvin Rosenfeld, this is from a non-drinking non-marajuana using, patient of spine/head damage, nerve damage, unable to work conventional job, Dieing not from the injuries, one organ at a time, from the pharmasutical treatments and still don't know what one hour or one day without pain feels like for over eight years.

  • Well I sure as hell hope you start using cannabis. Try making some cookies, and see what it does for you.

  • so far I won't 'try" it until I have the leagal right, so I'm pissed that I'll die from the pharmasuticals. Either that stop the pharmasuticals and go crazy from the pain.

  • MAN! I really feel for you!

You really need to try and smoke some Canibus!

It helps me w/ my back pain, my heart burn, headaches, helps me fall asleep at night instead of using sleeping pills. And I know this sounds gross, but it helps when i have diarrihea too. I'm not a medical user, but I have noticed these things when I smoke. LEGALIZE POT!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I hope soon, I'll be able to legally, try a less harmfull alternative to muscle spasm and pain control, If I was to use it now, 1. I couldn't afford it unless medicaid paid for it. 2. I would loose family and friends (without a prescription) because of the stigma.

    3. I could loose health care or/and my doctors support....

  • ....4. I could end up in jail because I'm toopoor to hire someone to defend me.

    5. I'd have strange people pretending to be my friends.. but that happens if an uncuthe clod finds out I'm in pain management, (but they go away real fast when I say no)so though tons of people have suggested it because it helped them with the same symptoms I have, and gave them the ability to reduse or quit their dangerous pharms. I'm waiting for porhibitation to end. :(

  • And just to add, thank you thank you thank you, for those that are going to jail, and/or loosing a clean record to fight for all of us, even those that died or are dieing because of the goverments interference of their using an healthier alternitive, I guess these few words are the only way I know how to fight for that right.

  • No one has to go to jail / loose a clean record for speaking their mind and arguing against what they think is an unjust law. If posting something here is the only way you know how to fight back then I would suggest writing your elected officials and telling them what you think of cannabis prohibition. Join an organization; NORML, ASA, MPP, DPA the list can go on and on. There are many ways to get involved and stay inside a particular comfort zone. We just have to do it.

  • I can't afford to join the organizations.. but I have written officials and signed petitions, and I stay inside alot because If I go out too much and do things I end up bedridden :).

  • P.S. also I live in WV, and for those who don't know... in many ways it is like living in a third world country if you have something to say that officials don't like. So there is no "comfort zone"

  • Someday I do agree that marijuana will be legalized and people will be reading about when marijuana was banned like we have learned about alcohol prohibition and people will still be shaking their heads sayin why didn't they just legalize it! We know prohibition has done more harm than good.

  • Yup thats what i'm holding on too!

The hopes that it will one day be legalized.

My wife made me stop because its illegal.

But when that day comes! BOY O BOY WILL I BE HIGH AS A MUTHA FUCKA!

  • You could be right or their brainwashed kids will take over and continue running the country the way their parents did.

  • tha GOV is runned by old people give it a few more shit load of years till all those fuckers are gone then i got this feeling marijuana will become legal world wide

  • The government protects the drug companies and it's probably because some of these politicians invest in these drug companies! They gotta protect the shareholders! They can't have people stop using their best selling drugs and switch to marijuana.

  • Nevermind marijuana, use our pills! Only buy drugs from a drug company. Remember that drug commercial with the song playing it's a beautiful morning? It wasn't a beautiful morning when over 100,000 people died from a heart attack after using that prescription drug that was advertised! Here is a guy that used marijuana for over 25 years and is still living!

  • SPEAK ON BROTHER

  • Irvin Rosenfeld is my hero!

How did the court case end?

  • Great video, Irvin kicks ass.

  • Does anyone know what the result of this hearing was?

  • Yes, Michigan Legislators let this issue die, to avoid "supporting drug users", even dying ones.

  • Sigh... thanks for the update at least.

  • There is an ongoing medical marijuana ititiative petition drive in Michigan. Contact Michigan Coalition for Compassionate Care:stoparrestingpatientsDOTorg

  • Irvin Rosenfeld is a great man.

  • Yeah medicine, I feel a twinge coming on right now.

  • You have already provided part of the answer. "the cost would be cheaper than buying conventional medicine."

  • He's used it for 35 years and he is a normal and successful part of society. I don't understand why its isn't used as medicine. Using this would help so many people and the cost would be cheaper than buying conventional medicine. Why isn't it at least schedule 2?

  • What a great man

  • Huzzah Irv!
