This is the most important lesson that all Nader supporters should take from Nader's campaign.

Voting for a candidate that actually represents the people's interest rather than mandating a corporate war candidate with your vote is just the beggining.

You need to become a citizen acivist, always questioning, researching, and making demands.

maybe we should get rid of the department of education-the schools fight for funds more than they fight for learning the right things.

I think we should get rid of the current leaders and bring in people who actually care about the content of the education provided. People who will teach critical thinking instead of simply asking kids to spit back rote learning.

Stossel's "Stupid in America" had some great ideas for alternatives - of course the corrupt teachers union freaked out about it.

HOw about we get rid of the current leaders AND the DEPT of education? Your argument about spitting back ROTE LEARNING is because og FEDERAL GOVERNMENT SCHOOL. ALlowing Local Governments CONTROL of the education provided in their own communites will lead to DIVERSITY in education. It will lead to a vibrant, HONEST education. ANytime you CONSOLIDATE power it destroys competition and diversity. What we have today is MIS-education. This is only possible because of FEDERAL GOVERNMENT CONTROL
