The documentary "Goldwater on Goldwater" has plenty of mainstream media elites and liberal Dems who say they liked him as well as Republicans. Even James Carville, the ragin cajun who worked on Clinton's campaign, liked Goldwater.

Carville, interestingly, is probably one of the few Southern liberal Democrats I can think of who doesn't shy away from being Southern. His accent's kinda cool. Or maybe just one of the few big Southern liberal Dems in general these days.

Besides, I don't really care for one-sided partisan homages to dead people, esp. politicians. People of the Right will praise their favorite leaders, and the same goes for the Left. Very rarely is a politician able to get enough people on both sides to wanna pay homage and talk about how great he was.
