This song is about the alienating, solipsistic, hypnotic, and stupefying effect of television. Human sociality has been distorted and isolated to the point where it is now mediated by a continuous stream of transmitted images. This passifying use of images socialises the public to accept authority, autocracy and hierarchy. It totally rocks out.
