  • Did you guys know that the laugh track fits them perfectly? All the people who were recorded on the laugh track have already died long ago.

  • this is from "The New Scooby-Doo Movies" where they meet the addams family.

  • i can't remember there being a laught track to this show :o

    kinda ruins it..

  • Laugh track? Really?

  • The laugh track doesn't make any gourd sense! Or maybe I'm just looking into things too much.

  • Agree with the laugh track complaints. That is one of the worst aspects of 60-70s cartoons. I hated them in Pink Panther eps.

  • what episode?

  • he looks chinese lol

  • miss that cartoon network logo at the bottom

  • looks like scooby doo

  • Gomez is chinese?

  • Morticia aint pale enough.....

  • Why does Gomez look like a mongloid?

  • this is how cartoon should be like. not like the animated crap

  • I'm always glad they had John Astin voicing Gomez in this New Scooby Doo Movie from the early 1970s, but wasn't there another The Adams Family cartoon from the early 1970s that had the exact same Hanna Barbera animation team? with someone else voicing Gomez who just wasn't as memorable or as humorous as Astin?

  • Sweet

  • iRemember dis show..iUsd to watch it wen i was just like 6-7yrs old ! aww :)

  • there where way too many loughs

  • omg....it's the same people!!!!!!they ARE real!

  • whats so damn funny

  • @ThexBlackxCherry your lack or humour

  • i really miss the good cartoon network

  • "I've never been so miserable in my life (:" Gotta love Morticia (;

  • They really overdid the laugh track.

  • Now I wonder how people could stand listening to those damn looped laughts every few second. That's why I stoped watching some sitcoms.

  • the classics always make me laugh. the new ones.........barely a chuckle.

  • @ArcanaAaron Me too!

  • Damn I hate those laughter tracks!

  • FANTASTIC!

  • @LoneRebelX Johnny Depp should play Gomez! XD

  • I have all 16-episodes of The Addams Family 1973 cartoon series on 4-dvd set, uncut, email for info.

  • @Raretelevisiondvds

I sent you another email to the address you just sent me but it came back saying: This user doesn't have a yahoo.com account (tvtimemavine1966@yahoo.com).

  • omg i actually remember this episode :D

  • I love that Episode too, John Astin And Carolyn Jones made the voices of Gomez And Morticia, also Jackie Coogan made the voice of Uncle Fester, I Agree Too Many Laughs!!! :-) On this Scooby Doo Movie! Yay! :-)

  • even as a little kid in the 70s I knew there was something wrong with a laugh track on a cartoon

  • This is Funny, This brings back great shows that we wish we need now!

"Darn it, I got away D:!" Perfection!!!!!!

    I LOVE THIS SHOW!

  • What luck!

  • WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO THEM!

  • I loved this show I remembered watching it when i was 7(i'm 12 now XD) I never watched it on Cartoon Network, I only watched it on Boomerang. It's SO Funny! XD

  • True love at it's finest!

  • Octopus in a swarmp?

  • That are faaaar to many laughs

  • @FireOps errrrrr oh yeah that was so funny. >fart on you<

  • that laugh track was ridiculous u couldnt hear what they were saying because of it lol

  • i hear tim burton is gonna direct a new movie in 2014 =D

  • @LoneRebelX Really? That's like a wish coming true!

    I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THAT!!! (^-^)

  • @TheAlimalii Yeah me too. I mean, Tim Burton is uber awesome iwth fusing whimsical and dark and gloomy.

  • @LoneRebelX That would be so awesome.

  • where can you buy it ?

  • G-damn the laugh-track.

  • Apparently being mauled by an octopus is funny. The laughter never ceases. O_O

  • It got me HA HA HA !

  • This was taken from "The New Scooby-Doo Movies" episode "Scooby-Doo Meets the Addams Family."

  • yea it laughs at EVERYTHING

  • That's from the scooby doo special!

  • My fav (if not the best) Scooby Doo episode ever!

  • Why did they make Gomez's head so fat? That looks nothing at all like John Astin.

  • @Banquo2 They look like original comic strips on which the show with Astin was based on too.

  • Aaaaah the good old cartoons with canned laughter/ laugh track. I remember The Flintstones and The Jetsons used to have it too xD

  • baha! its John and Carolyn!!!

they can do voice over work too!!!

can they get any more amazing??

    i love them both <3

  • I thought Gomez was suppose to be sexy--not a munchkin

  • @tropicallanterns and I thought cartoon characters aren't supposed to be "sexy"...what the hell?

  • @lalouse432 well, i thought that the Gomez character was suppose to be dashing and handsome, but at the same time, I didn't realize that the way he was presented in the original Addams Family comic strips, was the same appearance as he is in this cartoon.

  • @tropicallanterns Yea, but gomez is supposed to be tanned and spanish, but not chubby lol xD I agree with you.

  • I don't know if they're so strange... sure some things like sleeping on a bed of nails, but most things about them seem pretty natural to me

  • Did the Addams family ever have their own cartoon or was this just from the scooby doo episode?

  • @xmyusernamesucksx there was a cartoon in 1973 and then the 1992 cartoon series you can find that on my profile

  • AAAH MISSED!

  • wasn't this scene in: The New Scooby Doo Movies**(1972)?

  • yup

  • wow this is madproo i need to get some of this

  • damn i miss these shows ;(

  • Alot of names

  • dis was da show

  • lol. the people are laughing to each line thy say.

  • The people laughing is the Hanna Barbera Laugh track used in shows like the Flinstones and others

  • See, there's a reason I prefer the original Flintstones, Jetsons, and Top Cat shows from the 60's, at least the canned audience sounded almost as lush and plausible as the live-action sitcoms back then.

HB was too cheap to pay for Charley Douglass' (inventor of the laff box) complete library of laughs, so they hand-picked four or five, and came up with the badly overdubbed claws-on-a-chalkboard that you hear.

  • Top Cat > any other HB cartoon. The most charismatic character I've ever seen in an animated feature ever.

  • @HikoSeijuroXIII Oh yeah, Top Cat was a tru baller.

  • 0:47 "WHAT LUCK!" Man I cracked up! XD

  • Good Family and Very Good Wife in this clip..

  • great clip

  • rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

  • cartoonNetwork i ♥ it

  • dammit i wish i was born when this cartoon was out

  • true love............

  • This came from a Scooby Doo episode!

  • omg lol i just saw this episode on cartoon network lol

  • Yeah, it's one of my favorite episodes. One scene I like is when Shaggy wants to leave:

DAPHNE: "But don't you want to see Wensday again?"

SHAGGY: "Sure, and I'd like to be able to live to see Thursday, Friday, and Saturday too!"

  • lol yeah hahahahhaha

  • the woman looks like the beldam from coraline.

  • yeah, your right

  • they look like Boris and Natasha !

  • "Darn It! I got away D: !"

    Perfection!!!!!

  • Granny's ghoulish goulash!

  • What's an octopus doing in a swamp?

  • This is so funny!

  • that wuz a super MEGA scary octopus

  • hah fucking classic

  • hey look they still got the cartoon network sign, like i used to watch back in the days!!!!

  • too many laughs

  • I never got the point of canned laughter on a CARTOON! I mean it's not like it's filmed in front of a live audience so whats the point of putting in fake laughter?

  • it's a staple of HB The Flinstones had it

  • yes, but staples like that can still be annoying.

  • Yes, it was actually drawn in front of a studio audience - that's where the laughter came from.

  • what the....HECK XD

  • how is it from 1973 if it's on cartoon network?

  • ever heard of reruns?

  • cartoon network made it into one of there tv show like scooby doo

  • look at their eyes 00:16 to oo:19 lol

  • i liked this scooby doo episode :)

  • Fairly close to the original drawings.

  • "Darn it! I got away!" XD Hahaha, priceless.

  • My friend, Gilbert Accosta would nLOVE this!

  • This is absolutely adorable. X3

  • the Scooby Doo movies had the randomest guest stars

1day Addams Family, next ep Don Knotts, globetrotters, 3stooges, and Im still wondering why the hell they had an episode with batman & robin lol

  • the hottest was when they met johnny bravo

  • LOL I Got away!

  • whats with the laughs in the background?

i think gomez his head is bit fat.

    but still good.

  • and hairy

  • i think this from from the episode from The New Scooby Doo movies when they meet the adam's family

  • How cute, except for the annoying laugh track.

but what is up w/ Morticia's eye shadow?!!?

  • this is so the opposite.......i've never been so miserable

  • this was the first show that i every watched in my life

  • This was from the Scooby Doo Movies "Scooby Doo meets The Addams Family". Some of the original cast members included Carolyn Jones, John Austin, Jackie Cooper & Ted Cassidy. Hanna-Barbera later came out with the first Addams Family carton but only Jackie Cooper reprised his role as Uncle Fester.

  • YEEEK! I meant to say CARTOON not CARTON my bad.

  • It's not Jackie Cooper it's Jackie "Coogan".

  • eeep! Sorry my typo. I must have gotten confused due to both Jackies (Cooper & Coogan) were both child stars in the early years of motion pictures. Jackie Coogan was the first adovocate for "Child Actor Rights" due to the fact that he was abused when he was a child by his parents & all of the money the he earned when he was a child actor was squandered by his parents.

  • I also forgot to mention that his stepdad greedily kept Jackie Coogan's earning (approx 4 million dollars & never let Jackie see a penny of it.

  • P.S It is now called the "Coogan Act" which helps current & former child actors a right to keep & protect thier earnings.

  • "It's got me, It's got me, haha!"

"It takes so little to make him happy..." XD

  • creepy

  • funny!

  • I think i liked the cartoon version better than the actual thing.

Does this version still come on Cartoon Network? i havent seen it on before

  • This version beats the hell out of the TV series which ran 1992-1995. That sucked balls.

  • elohel9dalton: That is because these characters are based on the original Charles Adams drawings from his comic strip. The original Gomez was drawn chubbier, but I think that John Astin was perfect for the role. Notice how Angelica Huston looks more like the original drawing of Laticia?

  • at least they have the orignal voice actors.

  • was this on an episode of scooby doo?because it sounds awful with scooby doo music and the canned laughter.(no offence to people who like it but scooby doo and addams family dont mix well)I want to see the actual cartoon series because I bet it was good :)

  • i love the old scooby doo its classic and yes....i think it was on scooby doo lol

  • It's got me! it's got me! HAHAHAHA!

  • lol, i just seen this today, it was on scooby doo

  • I remember. This is from the scooby doo episodes that had a lot of guest stars on it.

  • 1 thing: i dont remember this when i was an kid, cuz i remember the flintstones and those laughing parts but i have no clue what i saw (if i did) from that. ty for the video tho

  • this is the version ive seen

  • woah! Gomez looks fatter than the black and white Live Action version! haha

  • they showing this now on boomerang

  • They're creepy and they're kooky, Mysterious and spooky, They're all together ooky, The Addams Family. Their house is a museum. When people come to see 'em They really are a screa-um. The Addams Family. Neat Sweet Petite So get a witch's shawl on. A broomstick you can crawl on. We're gonna pay a call on The Addams Family.
  • horrible laugh track

  • Ha ha ha XD...I got away....Poor dear....better luck next time xD

  • darn it, I got away!

  • this is from scooby doo

  • lol =)) this is history anime rulz >:)

  • The voices sound a lot like the series from the 90s ^.^

  • wasn't this from scooby doo?

  • yes

  • The Charles Addams estate are extremely protective of the 1970s cartoon and animated show franchise, and barely ever show them on TV. This one's a loophole because it's under the Scooby Doo franchise, so they're able to show that one, heh :)

  • I miss classic cartoons.. cartoons in cn is now.. yeah

  • I think this is from The Scooby Doo show!

  • nope its made produced by the same people tho

  • produced by the same cartoonists?

  • Indeed. this isn't the true 1970's cartoon series. In this one, the original Gomez (John Astin) appears, while the 1970's series had Lenny Weinrib (Scrappy Doo among others) voice the character.

  • isn't this from scooby doo

  • Haha, Awesome! :D

I'm so glad they didn't make Gomez sound like Peter Lorre, and using the actual cast from the TV show is great!

  • in the 1992 version, they never showed morticia's legs or feet but here they did

  • wait a min, isnt this from scooby do somewhere?

  • So it is John Astin's voice in this video? I was checking the credits I found for the cartoon series from the 70s, which listed someone else as Gomez.

  • super orginał

  • From the September 23, 1972 New Scooby-Doo Movie "Scooby-Doo Meets the Addams Family"

(aka "Wednesday is Missing"), which featured most of the actual voices of the 1964--66 Addams Family television series cast members John Astin (Gomez), Carolyn Jones (Morticia), Ted Cassidy (Lurch) and Jackie Coogan (Uncle Fester).

  • i miss the old cartoon network... :(:(

  • Everybody that's anybody does.

  • Better version ever!!!
