Nice comparison. I've just started using Evernote and you can actually create a group of notebooks so you can have one for each month of the year. It's called a stack. You can right click the notebook and go to "Add to Stack". Hope this helps!
FYI $110 vs free is pretty significant. I dont care what someone's economic situation was. If it wasn't so significant, see how willingly Microsoft would be willing to let their Onenote software go for free. Exactly! They want that $110 just as bad as I want my free. So thanks Evernote. Microsoft, ur way overpriced!
Thanks a lot for the comparison. I just found out about Evernote yesterday from a friend. I have been using OneNote for years now for personal, school and work notes but may make a change. I was actually just about to try creating and storing a OneNote notebook online with OneNote 2010 on Windows Live but may not even bother now
@sundi712 I hear you on the scream part about using Windows Live to access OneNote in the cloud. I need to do another update video. I've since switched completely to Evernote. I did it because the cloud access of Evernote and access on my phone is seemless with the desktop app. No thinking. Just works. Microsoft really is missing the whole plot here. Microsoft should make OneNote work identical to Outlook web access. Go to cloud and it should look identical to desktop app.
I agree 1000% with your opinion. I LOVE onenote, but the fact that I have to keep buying the software for ever PC and NO cross platform access is killing me.
I am going to make the switch to Evernote and learn to live with the shortcomings. But if they added the features you discuss (notebooks, tabs, pages) that would make Evernote the best software ever.
