ur right no one does crisis like GH however this one was all build up...and then fizzled out before it even started...it was a let down for me...altho I did like the s/l there just wasnt wasnt enough ummfh
My only wish is that Scott/Steve had been able to perform more of the song--he has a great voice. I know Olivia will survive because she's reported to be Steve's newest romance but with all of the hype leading up to the crash, I can't help but think that everyone else isn't out of the woods yet. I greatly prefer the prior Morgan but don't want to see any kiddies get killed off. My thought is that the "bump on the head" that Christina's friend has will do her in.
honestly i love the drama of general hospital. but i wanted to cry when i saw this because of the kids in it. and little Cameron:( but it does make want to watch it so much more. they couldn't have chosen are more perfect song for this moment. well least id don't think they could have.
Nobody does crisis like GH ...and as for yes i love romance in the afternoon BUT i also love the intensity of they crisis stories ...A perfect combination love and suspence
scott reeves did an awesome job with this song...theses type of storylines when gh uses all cast members is when they are at there best..I hope they continue into 2011 with it...
@timrozonsSexylover Jeff Buckley does sing Hallelujah with more intensity. When I hear his version, I literally cry. Scott Reeves' did a great job though. Reeves' version isn't nearly as heartbreaking, but it is good. I suspect that it would have cost GH a great deal of money to aquire the rights to Jeff Buckley's version. With the economy, our soaps are doing all that they can to save money and cut corners just to stay alive.
Woah everyone on here needs to calm down. I'll be sad if my favs die, but that one chick is right, real tragedies like this happen all the time. As long as the story is good and well acted then I'm okay with it. I'd hate to see kids die, but if you watch the news it happens all the time. TV shows is a great place to comment on tragedies.
@GHFAN2289 I think I see parts of the bus at the very end where the camera pans out to see everyone lying on the ground and the bottom right corner you can see the windows on the bus.
@BetaArtemis hey actually i found out that morgan goes missing the crash probably threw him farther and i think chrissie friend is going to die man this is sad but hopefully cam is ok
I just got the chills...it was so sad. my heart broke when michael was trying to protect morgan and molly, and when steve was calling out to cam. i dont want anyone to die but i know its coming....grrrrrr i better be home tomorrow.
Before I read your description, I was thinking that this sounded just like Scott Reeves singing! This is a favorite song of mine and I totally agree, he sounds beautiful! Amazing. Thank you for uploading. I love when GH pulls out all the stops about once a year. It really makes up for the times when the show is less than stellar.
@miraam2012 I am a person that does want to see lives in peril on a soap! It is better than the other 49 weeks out of the year that GH is nothing more than "The Sonny Show" or NOW, "The BRENDA show!" Honestly, THIS is what GH does best. Like the Metro Hostage Crisis a few years back. That was GH at it's best, in my opinion. It is something that we, as viewers can become invested in. We actually have something to give a shit about. I think most viewers want to be moved in some way.
@iamcasihart And I agree with that, MC was a good story and GH does well w/ umbrella stories like that. I LOVED the BJ heart story, Monica's cancer, etc. But the only thing I have a problem w/ is that they KEEP doing it. With the kids. On Holidays. Maybe if we didn't have 365 days of Mob & people being in "stranger danger" I would feel differently like with those other stories that I mentioned. & "lives in peril" doesn't mean a thing unless you are a Q!! or random mob guy #9643.
@miraam2012 I was a child during the BJ's heart s/l , but I remember seeing some of it and it was done beautifully. The only other s/l that I can think of that has come close to being so sad and riveting was on Y&R when Cassie Newman died, (about 6 years ago). As for the Q's, it is so sad that most of them are dead or only onscreen a few times a year. I miss the Q's. Thankfully, Tracy still gets a fair amount of screen time.
@papillon1211 Exactly! GH heavily promoted this latest all-all crisis s/l. I saw the "trailer previews" for this on SoapNet, ABC and even on MTV! GH hasn't been all that exciting in a long while. This will be great for the show because like you wrote, you may start to watch again! :-) That is what matters b/c our soaps are dying & they need all of the support that they can get. It saddens me because I strongly suspect that within the next 10 years, we will no longer have soap operas.
@miraam2012 Because it's life, holiday seasons are often the most likely times when tragedies can occur. People on the road, the possible snow storms, the accidents, just because it's holiday doesn't mean it's always happy and sunny and great. And honestly GH isn't the only show that has done some tragic things happening during the holidays. And anyways this is soaps, if you want real life, then don't watch TV.
@BetaArtemis Honey, please don't be patronizing to me.
I know that GH isn't the only show to do tragic (I just got done watching DOOL give little Johnny cancer), plus I've been watching soaps for over 25 years, so I know the score. But that is why your last line doesn't make sense, you cannot in one statement compare soaps to being like real life (in which due to adverse weather, etc. people do get into accidents) & then tell me if I want real life then don't watch tv. That is just stupid.
@BetaArtemis But what I believe you fail to realize is that BECAUSE bad things happen in real life, people tend to gravitate to the "make-believe" to escape. Have you never heard of the term "TV escapism"? I watch tv, b/c I WANT to escape from the daily hum-drum & focus on the "lives" of other ppl who are more glamorous, rich, large family-having, crazy, messed-up, etc. in the most far-fetched ways imaginable... than myself. If I want to see crashes & kids dying on xmas I'd watch the NEWS.
@miraam2012 Honestly, I don't believe that anyone major is going to die. I keep up on the "comings & goings" of the actors. I haven't read anything about anyone leaving the show. God, why couldn't Brenda & Sonny have been on that bus? In the 90s, I liked Brenda & Sonny. Now, Brenda is an emaciated, hair-tossing, needy 40 yr-old that laughs like a hyena. She dresses like Molly or Kristina. I won't even get started on Sonny. The writers have completely RUINED Sonny.
@BetaArtemis And last time I checked, people don't normally get murdered by a previously thought dead, ex-friend turned text-messaging serial killer at Christmas like Georgie Jones did.
So, next time I'd advise you to re-read what I type a couple of times before you decide to leave me a comment, b/c if you had you would have noticed that my emphasis was on the fact that GH CONTINUES to have children face tragedy at xmas which is not something that I like to see. I want to see romance & intrigue.
@miraam2012 Seriously, I really could care less if you want to watch it or not. Get over it, It happened. Real people have tragedies, so do the soap people. And really, Georgie was one kid, it hardly counts for GH "continues" to have children killed on Christmas. They didn't start this storyline because they think it's cool to kill some kids on Christmas. And as for TV Escapism, well, TV has basis in reality too. And anyways, don't like it, don't watch. Simple. Complaining is not gonna stop it.
@BetaArtemis Who are you? The commenting police? If you don't like me complaining/commenting, then don't read it. It's that simple. And complaining occasionally does stop things, but that wasn't my intention, I thought something & I typed it.
Now you are just being ridiculous. Of course soap ppl have prob's, that's why we watch. And one than once is continuous. & obviously you do care or you wouldn't have made YOUR comment. I said I don't like it, so YOU get over that.
@miraam2012 I can respect what you are trying to convey. However, the soaps haven't been about "love in the afternoon" for a VERY long time. Especially in the past decade or more. As sad as it is to say, if you want to see romance and intrigue, General Hospital is not the show to be watching. The days of great adventures, Luke & Laura, etc...are long gone. My favorite soaps, (Y&R & GL) don't have much romance anymore. GL died a slow, painful death and Y&R's head writer is as bad and Guza!

Things like this, which GH does so well, is reminds us all life is precious, fleeting, and we need to value those we love.
That was the first time I ever heard 'Hallelujah'. I came to 'youtube' and have heard it plenty now.
Thank you for posting this! That song, so eerily beautiful, playing as we see the injured and dying...wonderful!!
And-YES- GH does the 'disaster storyline' better than any show. Dante is going to rip our hearts out next week. I love that kid.
Less Brenda, yay!!
