There is no separate Roman culture....Romans bealived in Greek Gods developed Greek philosophy and red Greek poems....Scipio was so ignorant and arogant that he couldn't bealive his culture owned her existance to Greeks.... Patricians hired Greek teachers to teach their sons don't forget that...
And sorry to say it but Roman Empire wouldn't be that great without Greek civilization...... Not to mention that Romans just developed Greek culture didn't create themshelves a new culture....

@Jeffanos Yeah, but latin surpassed it when Rome widened its influence, that's why we have languages like french, spanish, romanian, italian etc.
The greeks had always held their language, and latin never surpassed it in greece, which is the reason why east rome became more greek.
