I used to love The Sounds 4 years ago when I first came across Painted by Numbers and when the singer was on the song Snakes on a Plane (for the movie of the same name) but I didn't listen to them since then and I forgot about them actually, when I went to see Scream 4 and I heard this song I was like "OMFG THIS IS THE SOUNDS I LOVE THEM!!!" so in a way Scream 4 brought me here but I already loved them! :D

@themaverickfan : To me it's more like she's flat most of the time, and I think the venue's sound guy might be asleep. More bass would have helped this a lot, because the driving bass line is something that does a lot for this song. That, or they could've turned the vocals down just a pinch.

@guitaroon - Burns. Kind of a funky guitar, but most Burns models are. This band has some pretty interesting guitar work. You should learn No One Sleeps When I'm Awake. Not quite Vai or Malmsteen, but fun as hell to play. Better than chugging away at 5th chords.

This song isn't bad... But it's not up there with their best. I really miss the sound from their first album. That shit was genius.

But like I said, this isn't bad. And Better Off Dead is fantastic. So maybe this album will be worth buying.

the progression in there sound is constant when you listen to Living in American to Crossing the rubicon you can tell that they are getting smoother...they can never get rid of Maja's edgy voice but the sound is getting smoother for sure. I like it all.

This is great. A band that is moving, maturing and pushing their creativity, so much better than bands that find formula and don't allow themselves to evolve. Even if you don't like The Sounds new sound this doesn't mean that they won't progress and come ou with a masterpiece album next time, many bands have one or two dodgy albums before their greatest works. I am excited about their willingness to experiment and explore and personally I like this new album.

i think the reason the select few that say they dont like the song is because the band is changing the sound, album to album, i on the other hand believe this to be a good idea, i love this song. its something fresh and new :) keep it up guys i'll forever be following the band with my head held high <3
