You can be proud of your achievements or of achievements that you've contributed to. You can be proud of the way you raised a child, you can be proud of a certain work you've done, etc. But not proud about being born Swede, Somalian or Chinese, because that happened *randomly*. Didn't work for it, didn't contribute to it, didn't to ANYTHING for it.The correct term for this is happy. I'm happy to be a Swede, I'm happy for what my friend achieved, etc. Now understand my POV? I don't ask to agree:)
