well i am a huge erykah fan... but i don't know if i dig this band that much. I mean they aren't quite playing the chord changes the way I am used to hearing it on her version... I mean its ok... but Erykah's band is always great. Instrumentally this is kinda lacking for me and not funky. I know I'm kinda of a snob but neo-soul is all about the vibe. New soul is influenced by Jazz which makes its sophisticated. I like rock but it seems that most rockers are more into posing cool then playing.
