  • Trumpets...work on that xD

    I hear a lot of sax here...that shouldn't be.

Low brass/woodwinds, try to play that G in the beginning together

Clarinets, very nice job. Y'all are like putting the flutes to shame here :3

  • trumpets are out of tune on there entrance of the prelude, but over all they sound good

  • ....you spelled Johan wrong =O

  • clarinets try not to squawk

trumpets at entrance of the prelude = SCARY BAD!!!

    Would've liked saxophone vibrato

More low brass on the entrance of the fugue. You can hardly hear it.

Trumpets are dominating, try to make each voice equal rather than just one standing out

This is good for a high school band. I heard it performed at the University level and this performance wasn't that far behind the college band.

  • they are going way faster than my band when we play this... hmmm still like it though^^

  • my school band is trying to learn this ^^ i think it sounds great! you guys are talented :]

  • i think it is fine my school band is playing this right now and this is how fast we are playing it

  • WAAAAAAY TOOO FAAAAST

  • Its really tough to get the clarinets in tune because they are so noticeable, you guys did a great job!

  • I remember we played that at this years Honors band! one of my favorites most definitely!

  • I just wanted to add that this piece is very hard for clarinet and flute and they played very well.

  • Definitely agree. I play clarinet and it is so hard switching between registers, but they did a really nice job on those eighth notes!!

  • yea, i know. i play second part for this, and its still hard. even the third part is hard. i glanced at it

  • Shoot...I think it was the 1st cornet that needed to be brought out more in the prelude, but this is still VERY good

  • very nicely played, though i also think the prelude could have been slower, and a bit more polishing would be nice. also, the last two or four bars should have more of a ritard i think.

  • we played in this in our band a couple of years back... and yeah it is supposed to be a whole lot slower at the begging. it still sounds super though. good job.

  • In my openion, the prelude was much too fast. It such be slower and much more fluid as it progresses into the fugue which should be at around the tempo you took it. still a good job though.

  • I bet that the arranger of the piece has to be Roland L. Moehlmann, as Googled to ascertain who arranged it...

  • Yes, this was transcribed for band by R.L. Moehlmann

  • Yes. I was in Area all-state band and we played it last week. It was transcribed by R.L. Moehlmann.
