hey, i take german. and my teacher said if the third letter is e, then the word is going to sound like it has an e in it.

ex: spiElt , sounds like { speelt}

but if the third letter it i, it sounds like there is an i in it.

ex: frei. {sounds like fry, but with an i.}

@lilshenadawg sure if you really want to learn it it´s much easier.but i still think that German is hard to learn because we pronounce the most words in a different way than people from the USA does.just for example.i know some guy from England,he learned German some years ago because of his girlfriend.after they brake up he went to Australia and after one year he came back,and he was not able to speak the simplest words in German..thats what i mean..pretty hard language :-)
