@manishsuwal You could either install wordpress to the root directory instead of /wordpress, or your can have a redirect page set up in the root folder to point to the wordpress directory. Good luck, and enjoy your new website!

This method doesn't work! You need to configure the wp-config.php in notepad externally and upload via FTP to ensure the wordpress folder is not present as a root in your /public_html.

"contents of the wordpress directory (but not the directory itself) into the root directory of your web site. " - from wordpress

I may be wrong but this way didn't work for me and I can see why. Sorry.

@david15923 Yo David, follow his instructions up to three. Get a domain, if you don't already have one. Point the 000webhost nameservers to the domain's custom dns. Wait till the next day, check your domain and it should be up.

Ok so i've uploaded to public html and its all set up but today i wanted to fix a problem because everytime i go to my domain instead of going to wordpress it goes to a white page that says "Index Of" and just lists the directorys in public_html

any idea how i fix this i put all the wordpress files by themselves in public_html but it just made everything screw up

Never use 000webhost guys, they are horrible. If you want free amazing p2h hosting with cPanel and ftp and everything goto sitefrost [dot] com and register :) Refer KaBooM because please :) And they have everything php, cpanel, and 000webhost has no cpanel thats a lie, they have their own custom panel,you need to pay for the cpanel there. at sitefrost its upto 17gb space 170gb bw :D join today

Nice, I had to upload the files 'individually after extract. By the way you have to change the 'wp-config-???.php' to wp-config.php otherwise it will give you an error, well when doing the install it will tell you to do that. :)

if the error sais you need to create a configuration file, then you need to set your public_html to 777, create it, then set it back to 755 in the CHmod Settings. What is the link so I can see the error?

@thetechzonelive I didn't have to do this O.o I just extracted the wordpress files and uploaded them individually in the root directory folder :) Worked nicely, I just had to rename the file that was giving me an error and used the code they gave me :)

@jhonathanbaez You will need to use a PHP editor like PSPad or notepad. If you log on to your FTP server from 000Webhost, there should also be a live edit button.
