i have a average Gaming rig, i can run this game on the same quality settings as arma 1, so you know what that means? arma 1 isn't that well optimised, but arma 2's optimisation will blow you away, the processing is what really counts in this and i have an E6600, which is nowhere near the recommended but i can run on medium- high settings with 2000 veiw distance and average about 25-30 FPS.

I have an e6600 aswell mate. and the requirements do suggest a 2.8ghz or above, were in the core2duo series we can push our cpus to 2.8ghz with only FSB adjustment in the bios adding 400mhz and being completly stable. I have a gtx285 mind, but likewise my cpu is my bottleneck. Quad cores run nicely tho and so do 4ghz overclocked e8400 :D
